Former daytime head honcho Chuck Pratt has made the move to the Disney Channel. According to Deadline, he will serve as EP and showrunner on Sulphur Springs. The network picked up the pilot and ordered an 11-episode series, after lots of back and forth.
Sulphur Springs stars Preston Oliver as tween Griffin Campbell, whose family takes over as custodians of an old, haunted hotel. Along with new friend Harper (Kyliegh Curran), Griffin will find a time-traveling portal; going back in time might just unravel the hotel's mystery - and expose even more secrets!
Sulphur Springs' behind-the-scenes team will feature another daytime vet. Tracey Thomson, a former scribe for The Young and the Restless, All My Children, and General Hospital, will pen the series and serve as an executive producer. The show will go into production in 2020, filming in New Orleans.
