General Hospital has a fan favorite back but with a new face. On Thursday's episode soap newcomer Marcus Coloma has signed on to play Nikolas Cassadine. For months fans kept hearing the dark prince's name thrown about and were left a bit puzzled when Ava's (Maura West) psychic Sibley (Veronica Cartwright) tried to reach out to him but there was no answer on the other side.

As Daytime Confidential hinted on a podcast, GH has been looking for someone to fill the role, and now they've found Coloma. Coloma's credits include Point Pleasant, South Beach, One Tree Hill, Major Crimes, The Mentalist, Lucifer, and the Beverly Hills Chihuahua film franchise. The Greek prince was previously played by originator Tyler Christopher (1996–1999, 2003–2011, 2013–2016), Stephen Martines (known then as Colton Scott 1999-2003), and Nick Stabile (2016). The last time viewers saw Nikolas was on Cassadine Island, when they were also introduced to Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), who "killed" him and took over the Cassadine fortune.
