Alyvia Alyn Lind has long played mischievous Faith, the youngest of Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case)'s brood, on The Young and the Restless. But the talented tween has made a name for herself outside daytime. Well-known playing young Dolly Parton in an NBC biopic, Lind is starring in a hit post-apocalyptic comedy, Daybreak, on Netflix.
On Daybreak, twelve-year-old Lind gets to play a character mature beyond her years. But she didn't find the part of Angelica too grown-up. She told Hollywood Life:
"My entire family’s in the business. Both my sisters are actors. My mom’s an actress. My dad’s a producer. We’re all in this business. They really understood it because both my sisters have also had crazy roles."
Lind's mom, Barbara Alyn Woods, played the deliciously dysfunctional Deb Scott on One Tree Hill, while her eldest daughter, Natalie, popped up on The Goldbergs and the next-oldest, Emily, played young Amanda Clarke on Revenge and Emma Lavery on All My Children.
The show saw Alyvia working with a cast of actors mostly her own age, as opposed to her seniors. She admitted:
"It was such an amazing experience. We are a young group who worked together so well. We had so much fun while filming. This was also my first leading role in a TV show, too. It was such a fun experience to get to work with such amazing and talented people."
