Ripped-from-the-Headlines Revenge Sequel in the Works

revenge-1024x1024

Primetime drama Revenge was cut short after four seasons, but ABC isn't letting sleeping soaps lie. Deadline reported that a sequel to the show, featuring a Latinx protagonist, is in the works.

While the new show won't be a reboot as such, it will be tied to the original. The hero or heroine will get advice in getting even from a classic Revenge character. Deadline noted that the protagonist will be seeking vengeance after "a Sackler-esque pharmaceutical dynasty" that's responsible for her mom's death and "a global epidemic."

The ripped-from-the-headlines drama sounds juicy, but no actors are attached to the project as of yet. Will Amanda Clarke/Emily Thorne (Emily van Camp) return from her happily-ever-after to get her just desserts again? Or will tech genius Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann) finally get his own mentee? Stay tuned to find out...
