Judge Greg Mathis is making his mark on Flint during their ongoing water crisis. According to The Source, Mathis donated 50,000 water bottles to a Flint school.

Mathis is a retired Michigan district court judge. His syndicated, Chicago-based court show, Judge Mathis, premiered in 1999 and is still on the air. The show won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2018.

This is not the first time he has donated clean water to the people of Flint. Mathis commented,

It’s difficult to win the confidence of the citizens that you have allowed to be harmed. If you wouldn’t risk it for your children, don’t ask these parents to risk it for theirs.

The problems with Flint's water supply started in 2014. Lead leached from water pipes into the drinking water, making it unsafe.
