Wendy Williams is sitting down with Robyn Crawford, the former executive assistant and former love of Whitney Houston. Crawford is discussing her memoir, A Song For You: My Life with Whitney Houston, finally breaking her silence on her relationship with Houston, who died in 2012, and putting to rest rumors about the late singer.
During her visit, Crawford and the talk show host discussed Williams' infamous 2003 radio interview with Houston. Sixteen years ago, Williams had confronted the star singer about the rumors of Houston's drug abuse and financial issues. On the show, Crawford admitted she and Houston were going to pay Williams a visit. According to Crawford,
Everyone lived by the radio back then. We’re in the car, you’re talking like you lived with us, like you’re roommates with us. We’re in the car, sitting still and Whitney would say, ‘Who the… who is she? Who is this woman? I don’t even know what she looks like,’ We were gonna… We didn’t know what you looked like and our plan was to go down to Hudson Street and squat like Kalif waiting for you right outside.
A shocked Williams, exclaimed,
Robyn! I can't even fight! I would've run!
Crawford explained to Williams she and Houston weren't going to put hands on her they just wanted to talk to her. Crawford stated,
We weren’t gonna fight, we just wanted to see you face-to-face and have a chat.
A relieved Williams remarked,
I’m frightened. Oh my gosh, I dodged that bullet.
