The Young and the Restless alumnus Brooks Darnell (ex-Nathan "Nate" Hastings, Jr.) is getting ready to have a fabulous holiday season. His new Hallmark film, A Christmas Miracle - co-starring Tia Mowry-Hardrict - debuted on Nov. 14.
Darnell chatted with Parade.com about working on the Yuletude flick. Comparing it to working on Y&R, he admitted:
Film and TV are marathons, you pace it. Soaps can be sprints.
He is also very excited about the increased diversity in holiday programming. Darnell said:
The paradigm shift in diversity in our industry and how excited we were for this opportunity Hallmark gave us. We took the responsibility very seriously to bring in stellar numbers for the network. It was our top priority every day. A Christmas Miracle is a great example of this shift. This movie has a brilliant executive producer named Stephanie Germain, and two BLACK leads.
