The Kelly Clarkson Show just got an early Christmas present. NBCUniversal Television has given a season two renewal for the freshman talk show through the 2020-2021 season. The show, headlined by the American Idol alum, airs in 100 percent of the country and on over 200 stations.
The show made its debut in September; coming out of the gate strong, it averages 1.9 million viewers per episode. The chatfest is fourth among all the syndicated daytime talk shows and its social media platforms have earned more than 1.5 million subscribers since the show aired.
According to Deadline, Tracie Wilson, EVP, Creative Affairs, NBCUniversal Television Distribution, said in a released statement,
The Kelly Clarkson Show is connecting with viewers in a unique way and we are so happy to build on that momentum, bringing Kelly’s brand of humor, heart, and, of course, the incredible ‘Kellyoke,’ to stations for a second season. It is a privilege to be in business with Kelly and our production team, led by Alex Duda, who have a clear creative vision and a talent for storytelling and creating quality entertainment that invites you in for a good time and leaves you feeling happy.
