On Nov. 18, Ms. Goldberg told Hall, per USA TODAY, that she prefers to rely on herself. She said:
When you make a commitment to live with someone else, it’s a commitment to ask their opinion and listen and work it out with them. I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to share money. I know it’s terrible, but I don’t want to.
Hall also asked about the possibility of a Sister Act 3 movie. She will reprise her role in a stage production of the original. A sequel has long been rumored to be in the works. She reflected on the franchise's appeal, saying:
I think people forget that Sister Act--for a lot of people, for a lot of folks who might have lost a little bit of faith, it brought people back. They were going and becoming part of the chorus and singing those [songs]. People tell me stories about Sister Act all the time. I go, 'Really?'
