NBC Auctions Friends Props, Including Joey's Issue of Soap Opera Digest, for Charity

It's the 25th anniversary of NBC's mega-hit Friends, and it's no secret that the network's surviving soap, Days of Our Lives, had close links with the comedy. Jennifer Aniston's father, John Aniston, plays Days patriarch Victor Kiriakis, while Matt LeBlanc's character, Joey, had an on-off role as Salem's Dr. Drake Ramoray.

Now, NBC is auctioning off Friends memorabilia, including a Days-related item, to benefit the Trevor Project, reports TodayBeginning on Dec. 3, NBC and Prop Store will sell off Friends props for this excellent cause. Fans can pay a premium for the copy of Soap Opera Digest in which Joey was interviewed, from the 2002 episode "The One with Joey's Interview."

Other gems include Joey's Hugsy stuffed animal, Ross (David Schwimmer)'s "holiday armadillo" costume, and the famous orange couch from Central Perk. Bids will be accepted for two weeks, and each item comes with a certificate of authenticity.
