Emmy Award-winning digital soap The Bay is getting even more star power. Former General Hospital executive producer Wendy Riche and creator/showrunner Gregori J. Martin have tapped several stars from the original show for the new spin-off, yA.
The show will star the D'Ambrosio Twins, who relocate to California and start a new life with their family. Per Deadline, making the transition from The Bay to yA will be Vivica A. Fox (ex-Stephanie, The Young and the Restless; ex-Maya, Generations) as Dr. Angela Foster, Kristos Andrews as Pete Garrett, and Beyond the Break's Michael Copon (also ex-Felix, One Tree Hill) as manipulative cop Colton Kurosaki.
Soap alums will also pepper the cast. They include: Jamie Luner (ex-Liza, All My Children; ex-Lexi, Melrose Place); Ian Buchanan (ex-Duke, General Hospital; ex-James, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Ian, Days of Our Lives); Jacob Young (ex-Rick, B&B; ex-J.R., AMC; ex-Lucky, GH); Brad Maule (ex-Tony, GH); Fiona Hutchison (ex-Gabrielle, One Life to Live; ex-Jenna, Guiding Light); Alla Korot (ex-Allie, AMC); Gilles Marini (ex-Ted, DAYS); Wanda de Jesus (ex-Santana, Santa Barbara); and Lane Davies (ex-Mason, SB; ex-Cameron, GH).
The ten-episode first season of yA is currently being shopped and will hopefully debut in winter 2020. Andrews, Martin, and Riche will executive produce the show, with Andrews and Martin directing. Martin and Riche co-wrote the episodes.
