Days of Our Lives Recap: Kate’s Captor is Dimitri Von Leuschner
On today’s Days of Our Lives recap:
Random Boat - Random Location: Kate’s captor is Dimitri Von Leuschner. Kate knows his cousins Carly and Frankie. In addition, she heard from Billie about him posing as an ISA agent. He reports how captivated he was by her daughter and sees where Billie inherited her charms. Kate does away with the pleasantries and asks why he’s holding her captive. Dimitri says she has great value as a hostage. Kate tells him to call Roman, but Dimitri doesn’t think Roman has the resources necessary.
Greece - Random Hotel: Chad is on the phone with Julie discussing Thomas and Charlotte. Just then, Roman arrives with a quick update about Bo. Chad informs Roman that Steve and Harris have headed out to look for Kate. He goes on to say Andrew recommended him, but Roman isn’t convinced Harris has been fully deprogrammed.
The Brady Pub: Marlena gets news from Roman that Kate is alive. When she hangs up, she sees Eric and has a seat. She quickly sees the cut above his eye placed there by EJ’s fist. Marlena rightfully concludes the fight was about Nicole. Eric tells his mother about his recent, drug-induced dalliance with Nicole. Marlena wonders if the sex meant anything to either him or Nicole. Further, she knows what was in the biscuits and there was nothing which would have increased libido.
Marlena gets all motherly and wants to take Eric to the hospital so he neither has a scar nor gets an infection. He realizes she’s not going to stop until he gives in. With that, they exit.
DiMera Living Room: Gabi fills EJ in on Nicole’s medical issues. She thinks Nicole is a drama queen. EJ grabs Gabi just as Stefan walks in. As they snark back and forth, Gabi notices EJ’s scuffed knuckles. He says it was an accident before heading to the hospital.
Stefan thinks Gabi should’ve made Nicole take a cab since she’s spending her time trying to oust them from DiMera. They notice Nicole’s laptop is still there and decide to mess with her report to the DiMera board. They try to guess her password when Gabi remembers viewing it when Nicole was getting sick. They read the report which drops a lot of pop culture references to demean Stefan’s usefulness as the co-CEO of a multi-national corporation.
Gabi begins to rewrite Nicole’s report to show Stefan in the best possible light. Stefan thanks her with a kiss but wonders if they can finish it later after hitting the sheets. He wins when she drops the computer and they make out.
University Hospital: Nicole can’t believe she’s pregnant. Kayla advises her to follow up with her doctor. Nicole is reeling as she says out loud she doesn’t know who the father is. She fills Kayla in on the drugged biscuits and what happened with Eric. Kayla is less than thrilled.
Nicole is worried the drug may hurt the baby. Just then, EJ bursts through the door asking about Nicole’s condition. Kayla reprimands him for interrupting their visit. Nicole asks her for a few minutes alone. As Kayla exits, she asks Nicole to see her before she leaves to discuss follow-up care.

Nicole, once again, decides to lie to EJ saying she had a reaction to something she ate. EJ is skeptical because Gabi was worried enough to drive her to the hospital. He thinks it’s possible she’s lying because she lied to him about sleeping with Eric. Nicole begins to trip all over herself to avoid telling the truth. EJ updates her on his conversations with Sloan and Eric and the phone call he overheard. Finally, Nicole tells the truth. EJ seems to understand about the drugged biscuits, but says he took it out on Eric. His anger dissipated when he found out Nicole was ill. He pushes the issue about her health and almost begs her to tell the truth. She omits the truth saying she’s not seriously ill. EJ is relieved but still thinks there’s something she’s hiding. Nicole lies AGAIN saying she may be in the early stages of menopause. He does his best to comfort her but still questions if Nicole is telling him everything.
Kayla is reviewing Nicole’s file when Eric and Marlena arrive. Eric embraces his aunt and they discuss how great it is she’s home. Kayla updates them on Bo and his long recovery. Marlena asks about Kate but there’s no new information other than the search. With that, Marlena wants to stitch Eric up. Kayla drops Nicole’s file and yells at Eric when he tries to pick it up for her. She covers and says she will page the attending physician to stitch Eric up.

Endings
Roman is beside himself thinking about what could have possibly happened to Kate. Chad says Harris has Coast Guard buddies helping them search. He knows she’s alive and Roman thanks him for his assurance. Roman apologizes for laying his burdens on him when Chad is still mourning Abigail.
Dimitri isn’t calling anyone who can track him on his phone. He’s not ready to make his play quite yet. Dimitri goes on to say Kate’s situation isn’t random. It’s a part of a much larger plan (excellent!). When he approaches her to compare her dancing skills to Billie’s (that was random), Kate pulls out her knife and tells him to back off. Dimitri does as she says and tells her it’s time to go back to chopping fish.
Gabi and Stefan have finished and/or ceased canoodling long enough to finish amending Nicole’s report and sending it to the board. With that, they exit to get back to their sexy time.
EJ runs into Eric and they’ve both had their wounds tended to. EJ says he and Nicole are in a good place about their tryst.
Nicole tells Kayla about her conversation with EJ and how he knows about her sexy time with Eric. She did not tell him she’s pregnant and won’t tell Eric, either. Kayla informs her Eric is on the floor, but didn’t hint to him she is there. Kayla says they can do a blood test in a few weeks to determine paternity but she will need to get a DNA sample. Nicole swears Kayla to secrecy (which should be assumed, but given Kayla’s sketchy history with HIPPA laws…).
