Days of Our Lives Recap: Theresa Puts the Moves on Alex

On today's Days of Our Lives recap:
Random Park: Tater Tot is on the phone griping about his relocation to Salem when Holly arrives on the scene. They get acquainted and Tate tells her that he’s a lot like his mother. He goes on to explain why he was kicked out of school which brought him back to Salem. Holly thinks it’s lucky they ran into each other as he clearly needs to relax. With that, she pulls out a joint. He questions how she procured the herb, but she’s more concerned with smoking up. He agrees to partake when Tate spots a cop. They decide to hook up later and they exchange digits. He misreads her signals and is rebuffed when he tries to kiss her. They chat a bit more and decide to be friends.
Stephanie and Chad’s Digs: Stephanie and Chad are awkwardly discussing their future. He extracts himself from the situation as he needs to grab the kids from Julie. After he leaves, Stephanie chats with Kayla and updates her on the conversation with Chad. Just then, Chad returns sans children. The kids decided to stay at Doug and Julie’s leaving them alone for the night. Before they head to The Bistro, he checks in with her about their conversation and they both decide they’re good (Chad more than Stephanie).
Titan: Theresa is trying to convince Alex to hang with her for the evening. He says he needs to work which makes Theresa wonder if he actually fancies her. Alex promises her a date at a later time, and she reluctantly agrees. She’s glad he doesn’t think she’s after his money. Alex questions why he would think that which flashes Theresa back to messing with Victor’s briefcase in Greece. Alex said it never occurred to him Theresa was a gold digger. They go back and forth and Theresa wears him down until he agrees to head with her to The Bistro.
Brady Pub: Paulina and Kate are catching up about her recent dates with Abe. He’s coming over to Paulina’s place that evening to take their revitalized relationship to the next level. She decides to head home and Kate pushes her to remind Abe all he’s been missing. With that, Paulina exits.
Marlena arrives and she and Kate gossip about Abe and Paulina. They move along to discussing Chad and Stephanie.
Horton Square: Abe is catching up on the latest dish about Body and Soul when Nicole arrives. He knows a few things about her but explains he’s been studying his flashcards with Kayla. He remembers they were friends and Nicole explains they were more like family. She explains about his relationships with Nicole and Brandon and how they bonded. Nicole says she hopes he’ll be a part of her new baby’s life. Abe thinks Holly must be excited, but Nicole is somewhat skeptical. Nicole notices Abe seems edgy, and he explains about his upcoming home date with Paulina. She tells him not to overthink and try to go in without expectations (I love these two).
Paulina’s Place: Johnny arrives to see Chanel who asks where they’re going. They clearly got their wires crosses as neither of them planned a date. Chanel says Paulina’s not around which leads Johnny to thinking what they might do to occupy their time. Just then, Paulina arrives home and says she’s glad to see them but they need to get lost.
Paulina explains Abe is coming over but is nervous because it’s their first time alone at home. She’s worried she’ll push him away. Chanel asks her to try and remember Abe’s memory may be gone but his heart is just the same. Paulina appreciates her daughter’s love and kind words. With that, Johnny and Chanel exit.

Abe arrives with a bottle of wine and they awkwardly chat. He goes to the cabinet to grab the decanter and she wonders aloud how he knew where it was.
The Bistro: Stephanie and Chad run into Theresa who updates them on her life. Just then, Alex arrives. Stephanie and Theresa head to the restroom leaving the boys to chat. Chad asks about the latest developments with Victor’s will, and Chad explains he went through something similar with Stefano. They chat a bit more and move on to Theresa being back in town with Tater Tot.
DiMera Mansion – Living Room: Chanel and Johnny arrive, and he decides they should watch Clueless. She’s nervous about Paulina’s date with Abe but he assures her everything will be fine.

Endings
Paulina says Abe bought the decanter and he decided where to place it. He doesn’t remember, but she’s thinking of it as a sign.
Nicole calls Brandon and reviews her conversation with Abe (can we please have Brandon back!). Just then, Tate arrives and they get reacquainted. He indicates his arrival in Salem is a long story and says he just met a nice girl in the park. Tate says he felt stupid because he thought she was into him but she shot him down.
Holly arrives to find Johnny looking for a movie to watch. She sits with him when Chanel returns and Holly unhappily deduces they’re back together.
Stephanie and Chad have a seat and she explains why she thinks Theresa and Alex could be a match. Across the restaurant, Alex thanks Theresa for convincing him to come out. Theresa is more than happy to help him relax and have a little fun.
