Perkie’s Observations: Curtis Goes Forward With Risky Surgery on General Hospital

On today’s General Hospital recap:
Sonny offers Carly his condolences and the two share a hug. Carly says she hasn't told the smaller girls yet and doesn't how. Sonny promises to be there with her and expresses his concern for her. Carly tearfully admits she misses her mother and says Bobbie liked Sonny since he was friends with Luke.
Carly says Bobbie eventually accepted Sonny and allowed him in the family as the father of her grandchildren. Sonny claims he never wanted to let Bobbie down. Nina's name comes up and Carly says she's sorry if Sonny is hurting. Sonny says he saw the way Carly and Bobbie worked through their relationship which is what helped him be there for his father. Carly thanks Sonny for helping her feel less alone tonight.
Ava is asked to come to the station where Dante lets her know Esme was the intruder at Wyndemere. Laura reassures Esme she's doing the right thing by taking responsibility and asks Ava to hear her out. Esme says she thought going to Wyndermere would trigger her memories and apologizes for breaking in.
Ava asks if Esme remembered anything, but she claims she is just as lost as she's been. Esme begs Ava not to separate her from Ace and Laura asks if she's willing to drop the charges in exchange for community service.
Ava asks what kind of time Esme will get and tells Dante she's pressing charges. Ava says Esme never paid for what she did to Trina, Josslyn and Cameron. She says a slap on the wrist isn't enough and storms off. Laura catches up to Ava who reiterates Trina suffered and Esme should as well. Ava says Esme hasn't changed. Dante leads a tearful handcuffed Esme away.

Alexis wants to continue jumping from planes, but Gregory says once was enough. He wants to discuss the kiss. Gregory admits he's thought of it before, and she says she's flattered but wonders what comes next. Gregory apologizes and thinks she wouldn't have kissed him if he wasn't sick. Alexis says the jump was exhilarating as was the kiss. Gregory likes her friendship and wants it to remain that way.
Dr Martel discusses Curtis' surgery and tells Portia he's only had 3 successful surgeries out of 25. Portia says they're prepared for whatever result and the doctor reminds him of the risks.
Curtis wonders if Portia is having second thoughts but she says it's his decision. Portia admits she's scared and Curtis decides he won't' do it. When Dr Martel returns however, Portia tells him they're going forward with the surgery.
The Ashfords wait in the waiting room where Stella worries about the surgery and Marshall gets angry with her for having doubts. TJ checks in on Marshall who admits he's terrified of the surgery. TJ reassures him it's different than the original removal of the bullet that left Curtis paralyzed.
Trina tells Stella about getting into the school in Paris and how Spencer will be going with her. She thinks she should change her plans and stay now that Curtis is having the surgery. Stella disagrees, telling her to go.
Marshall apologizes to Stella for yelling at her and says they've been avoiding each other since that moment. Everyone is there when Curtis gets wheeled into surgery.
