Perkie’s Observations: Trina and Esme Face Off on General Hospital

On today’s General Hospital recap:
Dex is getting ready to give Cyrus an injection when Sonny knocks on the door, shaking his head. Cyrus wakes up and grabs Dex' arm, demanding to know what he's doing. Sonny interrupts and Cyrus says he won't be pressing charges against him. Sonny says the state can press charges. Cyrus says he'll say he provoked Sonny and will recant if called to testify.
Cyrus says he cherishes his life and wants to continue living it and figures Sonny may continue to retaliate. Sonny doesn't believe him, but Cyrus says someone asked him to make this change.
Nina runs into Dex and realizes he was just in Cyrus' room and Sonny is there. Dex stops her from going into the room. Nina says Sonny isn't thinking clearly and is worried about him.
Sonny tells Dex they have to figure out another way to deal with Cyrus and that someone convinced him not to testify. Dex tells him Nina was in Cyrus' room when he arrived.
Sonny wants to know what Nina promised Cyrus and why she would strike a deal with him. Nina says she caused the fight between Sonny and Cyrus, and she would change things if she could. She says she's cleaning up the mess she made but Sonny is not appreciative of her efforts. Sonny tells her to stay away from him and his business.
Nina tells Cyrus she got him a spot on the station so he can start spreading the lord's word.
Sonny praises Dex for following his orders, saying it means he can be counted on.
Josslyn heads to the hospital where Finn and Liz are working on Adam. Liz asks Josslyn for any medical history, and she offers what little she knows.
Willow calls Carly and Josslyn tells Willow she knew Adam was in trouble but never mentioned suicide. Willow says she did what she could to get him help. Carly arrives and Josslyn tells her Adam tried to kill himself.
Finn and Liz update Josslyn, saying they pumped Adam's stomach and he's stable. They commend her for her quick thinking that saved Adam's life. Finn says they need to contact Adam's parents, but Josslyn says they're the reason he tried to kill himself. Finn says legally, they need to be informed. He tells Liz and Willow he's putting Adam on a 72-hour hold.
Carly tries to reassure her, but Josslyn says Adam will never forgive her when he finds out his parents were called. Carly says his parents can get him the support he needs.

Carly tells Willow she's proud of what Josslyn did but doesn't like that she feels responsible.
Josslyn sits and talks to Adam. She says he's not alone and will stay with him until he wakes up.
Previous General Hospital (GH) Recap: Nikolas and Spencer Reunite
Trina says she believes in the justice system and wants Esme to pay for her earlier crimes. However, she doesn't believe Esme should go to prison for breaking and entering. Trina says she's moving to Paris for a semester and Spencer is coming with her.
Esme is shocked to hear this news and calls Trina selfish. Trina says there's nothing tying Spencer here, but Esme asks about her and Ace. Trina says it's just one semester, but Esme says Ace is too young and will feel abandoned. Trina says it's time for Spencer to take a step back and their concern is only for Ace.
Trina joins Josslyn at the hospital. Josslyn says she doesn't know what she'll tell Adam when he wakes up.
Spencer says he's not leaving Port Charles to go on the run. Nikolas says it's the only way to be together as a family and Ace is in danger if he stays. Spencer says Esme is a good mother to Ace and loves him. Nikolas says Esme wants to remember which is why she broke into Wyndermere.
Nikolas says Esme is the same person who tormented them and is dangerous to Ace. Nikolas says if he stays, he'll go to prison. Spencer mentions the hearing and how Esme might end up in prison herself, which will give Nikolas a chance to claim Ace.
Spencer gets a call from Laura about the results of the hearing and how Esme is a free woman. Spencer is shocked but Nikolas says the hearing was just about the break-in and not everything else.
Nikolas says if Esme was only interested in Ace, she wouldn't have broken into Wyndermere. Spencer says Esme called him "Spence", something she hasn't done since losing her memory. Nikolas says Esme must have gotten her memories back and believes they can't trust her.
Nikolas tells Spencer to let him take Ace before Esme returns from the hearing. Spencer says Ace needs a stable childhood, but Nikolas says he needs to protect his son. Spencer agrees to let Nikolas take Ace and has a moment alone to say goodbye.
Spencer warns Nikolas he will make his father pay if he ever hurts or abandons Ace. Nikolas tries again to convince Spencer to go with them, but he says his life is with Trina. Nikolas and Ace leave.
Esme arrives to pick up Ace.
