Days of Our Lives Recap: Alex Catches Brady and Theresa Kissing

On today’s Days of Our Lives recap:
Marlena and John’s Penthouse: John is on the sofa sipping coffee and looking haggard. He talks to himself wondering what’s wrong. Marlena walks out and touches him on the leg. He jumps up ready to attack. John apologizes and Marlena notes how often he’s been relocating to the sofa. He says he’s been focused on Tate and Brady but Marlena asks if there’s something else going on. She says she loves him and exits. After she leaves, John looks very concerned.
Brady Pub: Outside the pub, Maggie walks up on Steve and Konstantin going at each other. Steve tells her Konstantin is trying to take advantage of her and won’t stand by and watch her get hurt. Maggie says she appreciates his concern but is somewhat insulted he doesn’t think she can judge a person’s character. Steve tries to double down but Maggie counters saying everyone told her the same thing about Victor. Maggie goes on to remind Steve about his own history which doesn’t make him terribly happy. Steve begs her to be careful and Maggie thanks him for his concern.
Statesville: Harris sits down with Clyde to talk about the drug ring. Clyde plays stupid saying he’s been in AA for a long time. Harris is having none of his tomfoolery. Clyde says all he’s trying to do is be a solid inmate who causes no problems. They go back and forth and Clyde alludes to offering him some sort of compensation for coming on board his operation. Harris tries to push Clyde but he isn’t willing to continue with the game and warns him to consider what’s already happened to poor Lucas. He admits that what happened to Lucas was a message. Clyde tells Harris to focus his resources in a different direction because there’s plenty of folks who could be hurt if he doesn’t.
Alex’s Digs: Brady and Theresa are sitting on the sofa as she attempts to hydrate. She begins to discuss their time together and they both agree they had some good times. They get caught up in the moment and Theresa kisses Brady… just as Alex walks in. Theresa swears the kiss meant nothing and the drugs were responsible for her behavior. Brady backs her up and she begs Alex to believe she wants to be with him. Theresa continues to apologize when Brady steps in and says she needs to go to a meeting. She promises to get a sponsor and get back on the right track. Alex relents saying he understands what happened. Theresa agrees to reach out to someone if she begins to break down again. With that, Brady exits.
Theresa tells Alex she understands if he wants to end things. He says he’s still with her and just wants her to be ok. Theresa doesn’t quite know how to respond besides saying the kiss with Brady meant nothing. Alex understands but asks if she still has feelings for Brady. Theresa explains the only feelings she has are related to sharing a child with Brady, nothing else.
Marlena and John’s Penthouse: Steve arrives and John explains his sleepless nights. John thinks his mind is taking him to dark places. Steve interrupts saying he just had a bad confrontation with Konstantin. He explains what happened with Maggie in front of the Brady Pub. Steve believes Konstantin continues to be a danger to Maggie. John thinks they need to change tactics and says they need to back up. John thinks pushing Maggie too hard is a huge mistake. Maybe if they leave him alone, he’ll cut his own throat. Steve reluctantly agrees and exits.
Brady Pub: Maggie follows Brady in and they discuss what happened with Theresa. Brady assures her that he hasn’t been tempted to use but he understands why she relapsed. Maggie says attending too much to Theresa would be a huge mistake.

Endings
Harris warns Clyde not to push him too hard or he’ll be sorry. Clyde dismisses him and Harris exits.
Maggie worries about Brady’s sobriety and asks if she can help Theresa. Brady agrees and Maggie decides to call her later the same day.
Theresa tries to assure Alex that she is only focused on recovering her own sobriety. She needs him to trust her and thinks she should go home to California.
Konstantin returns to the mansion and finds a card. When he looks at it, he says the word, “pawn.”
John continues to sip coffee and tries to figure out why he feels the way he does.
Steve sits at the Brady Pub and wonders if the past is actually coming back to haunt him.
