Days of Our Lives Recap: Alex Convinces Theresa to Remain in Salem

On today's Days of Our Lives recap:
Salem PD – Lobby: Jada and Brady are chatting on the phone. She asks about Theresa, and he says she’s better and they are keeping things under wraps. Rafe and Harris arrive and discuss the situation at The Bistro. Rafe says he’s calling in Stefan and Ava for questioning. Harris thinks going at Clyde Weston might provide more information and mentions their conversation at Statesville. Jada and Rafe can’t believe how open Clyde was about his involvement in the drug trade and what happened to Lucas. Harris reports Lucas got the fool beaten out of him but will recover.
Salem PD – Interrogation Room: Rafe grills Jada about why she ran Theresa’s financial records. Jada explains about Brady’s call and what was going on with Theresa. She apologizes for keeping him in the dark but wanted to keep everything under wraps. Just then, Harris arrives with news about Lucas.
Harris says Lucas has been approved to move to a new location. When Rafe inquires, Harris says he can’t provide them any details. He tells Rafe and Jada, he can’t say because there’s an internal link in the department.
Horton Square: Kristen and Rachel arrive, and Brady explains why he missed their last play date. Kristen explained everything to Rachel, and she asks her dad about Tate. They have a seat and decide to see a movie. As they are trying to pick their flick, Leo arrives with a bevy of suggestions. Rachel is entertained while Kristen and Brady are less than enthused.
After they choose a film, Leo begins to dig for Lady Whistleblower stories by asking if “Bristen” is back together. Rachel says they aren’t back together, nor does she want them to be. With that, Leo quickly makes his exit leaving Kristen and Brady to wonder if they’ll be featured in The Lady’s next column.
Rachel tells Brady he hates how he and her mother fight all the time. Rachel says it’s better for them to be apart because everyone is happier. With that, she heads off to buy candy for the movie. Brady asks Kristen why Rachel is so against them getting back together and only seeing him once in a while. Kristen tries to appease him, but Brady thinks she’s turning her against him.
Kristen tries to explain why Rachel responded to him the way she did but Brady is a dog with a bone. He thinks Kristen is behind Rachel’s change in attitude. Kristen feels for Brady’s issues with Tate. She still thinks of him as her little Christopher (Do you all remember how Kristen took the fetus from Theresa and gave birth to Christopher/Tater Tot?). She asks about Theresa and Brady indicates she’s not doing well. Kristen takes the information and makes an assumption that Brady and Theresa are getting closer.
Brady reminds Kristen how she tricked him into procreating (an interesting interpretation of rape). Kristen wonders if he’ll ever let that business go (really?). Brady wonders why he should let anything go when she’s keeping Rachel from him. Kristen breaks down into tears and reminds Brady how they used to be magic together and says no one will love her like she did and still does.
Alex and Theresa’s Digs: Alex arrives home to find Theresa packing. He wants her to stay but she thinks leaving is for the best. Alex thinks it’s his fault she’s leaving because of his accusations about Brady. He thought the recent incidents with Tate might rekindle their feelings. Theresa explains she thought they might have a chance when she first returned to Salem but now only has eyes for Alex. That being said, she needs to get out of town and away from the triggers that led her to using. Alex thinks running away won’t solve any of her problems. If she stays, he promises to help her get back on the straight and narrow.

Theresa says she already booked her ticket but Alex begs her to stay. He explains how his whole world has recently turned upside down and he needs someone to help him cope. Theresa thinks she’s a terrible girlfriend and only lets people down. Alex stops her tirade and says he also makes terrible decisions and she should cut herself a break. He thinks, together, they can become better people.
Sloan and Eric’s Digs: Sloan tells Eric she’s about to head out to meet new clients. Eric says he has new clients for his photography business who are on the way over. They chit chat a bit more before Eric reveals his client is Leo Stark. Just then, he arrives.
Leo is thrilled to be Eric’s first client and wants him to help make his return as Lady Whistleblower utterly fabulous. Leo goes on to say how grateful he is to Sloan for her legal prowess and her generosity… of spirit.
Eric sets up his tripod and Sloan decides to stick around for the shoot. Eric leaves the room and Sloan lights into Leo. He reminds Sloan how he holds all the cards, and she needs to continue to play ball. They argue back and forth when Leo says he may be awful but at least he has a heart.
Eric sets everything up and gets ready to photograph Leo. Before Sloan exits, she reminds Leo to keep his mouth shut. They snark back and forth and then she exits.

Endings
Alex and Theresa bask in the afterglow of their afternoon delight. Theresa has decided to stay and Alex says he’s starting to fall for her. With a little ribbing, he admits he’s been falling for a long time. Alex says her level of honesty has led him to become crazy about her (ouch).
Brady says there’s no future with Kristen besides the child they share. Rachel returns with the snacks. Before they head to the movies, Kristen asks if they can simply start seeing the best in one another. Brady agrees and they exit.
Sloan is in the park and texts Leo to warn him to keep his mouth shut.
Eric finishes the photo shoot and promises to send him a portfolio later in the day. Leo’s phone beeps and he’s amused by the text from Sloan. With that, he exits.
