Perkie’s Observations: Curtis and Portia Head to Paris to Protect Trina on General Hospital

On today’s General Hospital recap:
Tracy tells Mrs. Muldoon about how great a doctor Finn is and how he has a family. The widow continues to blame Finn for his negligence. Tracy has an offer for the widow. Finn doesn't want Mrs. Muldoon to pay so Martin addresses the judge. Diane interrupts to say the widow is dropping the lawsuit.
Everyone celebrates but Liz wonders why. Tracy says it doesn't matter and Gregory looks at her suspiciously. Mrs. Muldoon wants a word with Finn and apologizes. She says she just learned Dennis went to see an oncologist before seeing him. Finn understands and wants to spare her any pain.
Finn tells Liz that he still feels badly, since the Muldoons lost a husband and father. Liz says Muldoon almost destroyed his career and can't believe he has compassion for the family. Finn is just grateful to Liz and his family.
Gregory tells Tracy someone made a generous donation to Mrs. Muldoon's fundraising page. Tracy isn't worried and Gregory is grateful Tracy is such a friend to Finn.
Anna and Jordan head to Pentonville to talk to Brennan who wants to be set free in exchange for the name of Curtis' shooter. Anna says they believe Sonny was the target and if he were to find out Brennan knew who the shooter was, he would not be long for this world. Anna and Brennan argue until Jordan steps in. Brennan says the shipment of guns was stolen and someone has been selling the weapons for a high price If they find that person, they'll find the shooter. (Well duh, didn't we already know that? Did I miss something here?!!)
Spencer arranges a private getaway on a cruise on the Seine which thrills Trina (Can we at least make the boat not look like a repurposed Haunted Star?). Esme is in hot pursuit with a backpack of hypodermic needles, as one does.
Trina's grateful to Spencer for all the things he's done for her and how amazing it is to be loved by him. He's equally grateful for her love and how every day is better than the last. He promises to love her for the rest of his life. The two have a passionate time before he heads out to get himself something to eat.

Previous General Hospital (GH) Recap: Laura is Blindsided to Learn She Was Fooled by Esme
Sonny, Ava and Avery head down to the island to get away. Ava's impressed with the security but still feels concerned. Sonny reassures her everyone is safe including Avery, who's more interested in the beach. Ava points out he'll need to have a talk with Avery soon and Sonny thinks she means about his business. Ava says she's talking about Nina, but he says she's off limits as well. Ava says Avery knows Sonny is upset and Nina is gone but he needs to talk to her about it.
Sonny sits Avery down and tells her he and Nina will be living apart for awhile until they figure things out. Avery admits she misses Nina and asks if she'll see her again. Ava says Nina still loves Avery even if they aren't living together. Sonny is grateful for Ava's help in talking to Avery and Ava wonders where things really stand with Nina.
Curtis believes he'll be back on his feet with a little hard work which is happy news to Portia and Marshall. Laura interrupts to let them know Esme is in Paris which worries Portia and Curtis. Marshall thinks it's just another diversion, but Laura disagrees, saying police found video evidence of Esme boarding a flight to Paris.
Laura tries to call Spencer, but the connection is dropped, and Trina doesn't answer Portia's calls. Portia is upset Trina is in danger again and it's all because of Spencer (Sshhh, his grandmother is RIGHT THERE!!)
Laura apologizes and tells them Ned's letting her borrow the ELQ jet so she can get to Paris as quickly as possible. She says Dante is already on his way and the Paris authorities have been notified. Curtis says he's going with her, but Marshall is worried.
Curtis says his recovery is on schedule and he'll do what he can to protect Trina. Marshall says he's worried what Curtis will do to Esme and Portia announces she's going as well. (Paging Terry, Paging Terry, you're wanted in the co-chief of staff office, pronto!!)
Laura calls and updates Sonny and Ava and promises to let them know more once she lands. Sonny reminds Laura to be careful since Esme will be unpredictable. He tells Ava this is one less threat for her. Dex finds one of the guards knocked out and calls out to everyone. Sonny and Ava hide behind furniture.
The boat captain comes across Esme, and she fights him, knocking him out with a fire extinguisher. She shows a tiny amount of remorse but ultimately drags his unconscious body away.
Spencer finds the guard's blood on the deck while Esme shows up in Trina's room.
