Justin Hartley's Tracker Helps CBS Score 16th Straight Season Atop Nielsen Broadcast Ratings

Hartley's freshman series gives CBS boost to No. 1 in primetime for the 16th straight season.

CBS is once again the ratings king with the help of its latest series, Tracker. The Justin Hartley (ex-Adam Newman; The Young and the Restless)-led series helped the Tiffany Network become number one in primetime for the 16th straight season, averaging 5.59 million viewers each night, according to Nielsen’s seven-day figures (through April 21), according to The Hollywood ReporterCBS is duking it out with NBC, which is in second place with 5.01 million viewers; ABC is in third place with 4.29 million viewers. Fox is netting 3.35 million and The CW came in last with 462,000 viewers.

The Eye Network gained viewers due to its Super Bowl broadcast and robust performances, courtesy of its scripted series this past February. It had eight of the 10 most-watched shows outside of sports on broadcast television, with freshman series Tracker  at number one and CBS in the top seed.
