Kim Godwin OUT as ABC News President
ABC News President Kim Godwin has decided to leave the network. Godwin, the first Black woman to head a news division, has been with ABC News since 2021.
She told staffers in a letter on Sunday she was retiring from broadcast journalism altogether, the Wall Street Journal reports. This news comes after a report by CNN revealed staffers were frustrated with Godwin's management style, which Debra O'Connell, a longtime executive at Disney, brought to her attention and mentioned in her review of the division and leadership, something many staffers refuted.
