Days of Our Lives Recap: Doug, Julie and Chad Return to the Horton House

Horton Square: Johnny and Chanel are chatting about how she’s feeling. They chat a bit about her relationship with her mother and Chanel thanks him for support but asks him to let her handle it.
Felicity arrives with a treat for Chanel. Johnny walks up and gives it a taste. He gives it the Johnny D. seal of approval. Chanel declares Sweet Bits has a new menu item. Just then, Johnny gets a call.
Tate and Aaron stroll through the square talking about school assignments. Aaron is distracted as he’s thinking about taking Holly to prom. However, he’s just learned Nicole won’t let her go. They walk over to Chanel who runs to grab their prom goodies. Tate and Aaron greet Felicity who tells them about the baked goods she brought to Chanel. Tate introduces Aaron to his sister Felicity who is an incoming freshman at the high school. She promises to make some treats especially for Tate.
Johnny talks to the production folks who were offering him a job. They want him in L.A. and won’t take no for an answer. Johnny says he needs more time to consider his options.
Aaron is bummed out so Tate takes the baked goods’ prom invite. He opens it towards Aaron and asks him to go as a throuple with him and Sophia. Aaron says he doesn’t want to be a third wheel but then he reluctantly agrees. They head off to school but Felicity decides to stay behind. She and Chanel head back inside to Sweet Bits.
Brady Pub: Brady is working on his computer when Theresa arrives. She tells him that she and Alex are back together. Brady wonders where that leaves Alex and Kristen. Theresa says their relationship was only a petty attempt to make them jealous. Brady assures Theresa there’s no chance he will be reuniting with Kristen. She thinks he deserves someone special and is certain he will find her (these two have good chemistry). Brady isn’t so certain.
They switch their conversation to Theresa’s job search. She thinks when she’s ready something will come to her. Brady switches again to Tate’s prom and they realize they’ve both signed up to be chaperones. Brady remembers chaperoning the Last Blast dance when Philip was in high school. They laugh a bit about embarrassing Tate before Theresa makes her exit.
Outside, Theresa finds Tate and Aaron sitting on the bench eating donuts. They promise not to be late as she walks away. The duo continue talking about their throuple situation and Tate decides to tell him a secret. He says he’s going to ghost Aaron and Sofia after dinner so they can be alone. Aaron is confused. Tate explains he and Holly are having a secret relationship and Aaron MUST keep it quiet. Aaron is adorably excited but also concerned for his friend, after everything Holly did to him. Tate explains and Aaron promises to keep his lips zipped. Just then, Brady emerges having overheard a part of their conversation.
Kiriakis Mansion: Julie is working a crossword puzzle when Chad arrives back from dropping off the kids at school. Just then, Julie gets a call informing her the Horton House is ready! Chad and Julie jump up and do a happy dance!
Julie and Chad make plans about all the things they need to do to stock the house. They are thrilled that very evening they’ll be back home. Julie makes some calls and reports everything will be delivered on time. Chad and Julie think Tom, Alice and Abigail are watching out for them. Julie says she dreamt of Abigail the night before but notes the look on Chad’s face. He explains he can’t believe she was working on a story about Clyde without his knowledge. Had he known, he could have saved her. Julie gets philosophical and says Abigail wouldn’t want him to suffer. She encourages him to move on.

Titan: Maggie arrives and gets snarky with Alex. She asks him to assign an office to Konstantin. Maggie says she doesn’t need his permission to do anything. She explains she’s establishing a charitable trust with her portion of Victor’s estate. She wants to put Konstantin in control of the trust. Maggie says they will be giving Theresa’s office to Konstantin. She then reminds him that they are equally in charge of the company. Alex relents but says he’ll be keeping watch. Just then, Maggie gets a call from Julie letting her know they’ll be moving back home. Alex is thrilled because now he can take his rightful place at the mansion.
Maggie is surprised Alex doesn’t want to purchase a home of his own. Alex says it’s his birthright and the amenities suit his new lifestyle. With that, Maggie makes her exit. Alex calls Kristen and says he has to cancel with her because he’s moving back to the Kiriakis mansion.
Kiriakis Mansion: Maggie arrives home to find Julie surrounded by a million boxes. Julie gets teary eyed when she thanks Maggie for her immense kindness. Maggie is glad she’s going home but will miss her terribly. They both cry as they declare their love for one another.
Alex and Theresa’s Place: Theresa and Alex arrive home at the same time. He says he’s going to pack as it’s time for him to move back to the Kiriakis mansion as HEAD OF THE FAMILY?!?!?! (Where is Justin?) Theresa is bummed as they were just getting back together. She hems and haws until Alex asks if she wants to move in with him.
Horton House: Doug is sitting in Tom’s chair as Julie and Chad move in boxes. He can’t believe it looks exactly the same as it did before the fire. Julie can’t wait to see Thomas and Charlotte’s reaction. Chad still isn’t right as he blames himself for the fire and is beside himself because Clyde is responsible for so much destruction.

Endings
Tate lies saying he wants to find a nice corsage for Sophia. Aaron helps by asking Brady what he did for his own prom date. He says he didn’t go to prom but will be going to theirs. He explains both he and Theresa will be chaperones.
Alex officially asks Theresa to move in the mansion with him. She excitedly accepts his offer.
Chanel tries Felicity’s baked goods and also thinks they’re amazing. Chanel says she’s made the decision to keep their baby, but only if she has him by her side. Johnny assures her that he’s not going anywhere…
Julie, once again, reminds Chad that what happened to Abigail and the Horton House was Clyde’s fault. Doug says Abigail trying to go after Clyde is what good people do to fight evil. Julie follows up saying they will take down that lying son of a bitch because the Hortons do not back down. Chad smiles and thanks them for their support. Julie decides it’s time for them to have a huge family reunion. She hopes, by that time, they’ll figure out how to open the time capsule. With that, Julie places a picture of Tom and Alice on the mantle and welcomes everyone home.
