Perkie’s Observations: Sam and Lulu Head Into Surgery on General Hospital

On today’s General Hospital recap:
Sonny summons Jason, shows him the uncut diamond and asks what happened in Africa. Jason explains what happened and Sonny says the diamond is from Holly and he's willing to work with her, but Jason warns him Sidwell survived the drone strike and is already in the country. Sonny says if he gets it done fast, Holly can be gone before Sidwell connects them.
Brennan insists Carly meet with him but she's at the hospital and refuses. Carly's there to see Sam and to thank her for doing this for Lulu. Sam says she's doing it for Dante and Rocco. Brennan shows up, determined to speak with Carly.
Brennan tells Carly he needs Jason to tell him what happened during Lucky's rescue. He says Sidwell is in the country and is concerned and wants her help. Carly calls Jason who is not happy to see Brennan when he shows up.
Carly says they both owe Brennan for saving him and Lucky with the drone strike and wants him to talk to Jack. After she leaves, Jason tells Brennan that Holly stole a fortune in diamonds from Sidwell. Brennan warns him to stay away from Sidwell and Jason warns him not to hurt Carly.
Ric tells Heather the judge vacated her sentence and she's being released. Heather is thrilled and swears she'll make the best of her second chance. Ric says she'll need to find a way to support herself and a place to stay.
Steven Webber's back in town and meeting with Curtis. Steven is surprised when Curtis tells him Heather is being released today and will make it worth his while to leave town with her.
Steven says he doesn't want to be responsible for what Heather does. Curtis says he will supplement Steven's income if he leaves with Heather, and they stay gone. Curtis warns the alternatives are not as pleasant.

Liz offers her support to Portia who says Curtis will be dealing with Heather. Brad tells them that he's leaving his shift early for a baseball game, which surprises Liz. Portia is forced to give him the go ahead.

Lucas is thrilled to find a pastry in his locker but annoyed to find out Brad left it for him. Later, Liz complains to Lucas about Brad being back and how he used Britt's death to get the job. Lucas questions Brad who admits it.
Heather calls Liz and tells her that she's being released and asks for a lift from prison for Franco's sake. Ric arrives and Liz chastises him for foisting Heather on her and doesn't want her moving in.
Heather is happy to see Liz when she's released from prison but even more so when Steven shows up.
Laura tells Dante and Rocco (where's Charlotte?) they will be prepping Lulu for surgery soon if they want to spend some time with her. Rocco talks to Lulu and tells her not to give up.
Alexis spends time with Danny and Scout before they head to the hospital to spend time with Sam. Sonny shows up and says he's proud of Sam, followed by Dante and Rocco, who thanks Sam for saving Lulu's life.
Isaiah tells Laura he's giving Lulu anticoagulants which should mitigate the risk of the thrombosis but there are no guarantees. Laura says given the chance Lulu will fight to survive.
Everyone, including Jason, is there when Sam is taken to surgery.
