Perkie’s Observations: Portia Reports Sam’s Drug Overdose on General Hospital

On today’s General Hospital recap:
Lucky tells Liz he doesn't want to give her or Aiden false hope. Liz says he needs to commit and stick to it. Lucky says he's helping people in Africa and wants Aiden to understand. They run into Lucas, and he tells them what happened with Danny. Both Liz and Lucky reassure him that he did nothing wrong. Portia calls Lucas and tells him that they have the autopsy results.
Lucky and Liz make small talk about Sam's death and hope Lucas is exonerated. Jack interrupts to speak with Lucky. He asks again about Lucky helping people and doing a lot of good.
Alexis is desperate to find Sam's will so she can see her wishes through. Molly mentions Ava's trial is starting tomorrow and just wants justice for the baby. Molly tells Alexis that Ric added her as a witness for Ava's defense which angers Alexis.
Molly says Ric doesn't believe Ava is to blame and it was just a terrible accident. She understands why Ric wants her to take the stand against Kristina. Alexis worries she won't be able to handle the strife between the sisters. Molly says she can't let Ava go and Ric wants to give her closure. Alexis finds the will and sees Sam named Drew as both Scout and Danny's legal guardian.
Molly is surprised but Alexis says Sam updated the will years ago, when Jason was dead, and she wasn't with Dante. Molly thinks Sam had concerns about Jason being in Danny's life but they've developed a bond. Alexis doesn't think Jason would want Drew to have custody, but Sam wanted the kids to stay together. Alexis says she wants to honor Sam's wishes.
Danny and Jason spend time at Sam's grave, which is beside baby Lila's grave. Danny feels badly because he yelled at Lucas, which is why he stayed away from the service. Jason is certain Lucas didn't want this to happen to Sam. He says there may be no specific reason for her death.

Danny asks what happened between Jason and Drew. Jason says he lost control, but Drew isn't pressing charges. Danny is upset Jason could have been arrested and says he's not the only one hurt. He says Scout saw Drew's face and was upset and scared. Jason swears it won't happen again.

Dante finds Kristina's at his place, and the two talk about Sam. Dane talks about the great life they had and how he finally proposed and how it's all not fair. Kristina says Sam was happiest after the proposal, but wonders if Sam's dead because of him.
Kristina says he didn't force Sam to donate but Dante says she did it to protect him and Rocco. Kristina says Sam made a choice and it isn't his fault. She says the other option would have been to lose Lulu. Dante says he knows deep down it's not his fault. Dante gets an alert about Ava's trial tomorrow and the two agree Ava will pay for what she's done.
Lulu is spry enough after four years in a coma to inspect her body and find the transplant surgery scar (which looks super healed already). She overhears Cyrus talking to the Turning Woods director about the great care she's getting. Cyrus claims Laura asked him to represent the family at Lulu's bedside. Lulu has a memory of a run in with Cyrus from before her coma.
The director tells Cyrus he wants the family to know Lulu has made some improvements, but Cyrus wants to be the one to do it. Lulu drags herself out of bed but falls to the floor, then pulls herself back up with a determined expression.
Portia tells Lucas the autopsy showed no surgical error so nothing he did led to Sam's death. Lucas asks what caused the heart attack and Portia hands him the toxicology report.
Portia summons Liz to her office. Lucas calls Lucky and tells him Liz will need him. Portia tells Liz that Sam received an overdose of Digitalis, but Liz says it wasn't prescribed. Portia says they need to conduct an investigation to find out exactly what happened. She suggests Liz call her union rep.
