Kristian Alfonso Talks Grief Over Bill Hayes' Passing and Teases DAYS Return

Hope (Kristian Alfonso) is headed back to Salem soon, but alas, the reason behind the legendary character's return to Days of Our Lives is very sad. Hope's beloved father, Doug (Bill Hayes), passes away, and Fancy Face joins her fellow Hortons in mourning this loss. Alfonso spoke to Soap Opera Digest about grieving her beloved co-star and Hope's grief and strength during this time.

When Hope does make it back, Doug's grieving widow Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is also putting on a brave face, so Hope does the same for her family in public. She also reunites with lots of family members, including son Shawn-Douglas (Brandon Beemer), daughter Ciara (Victoria Konefal), and cousin Jennifer Rose (Melissa Reeves).
