Monday's episode of The View featured moderator Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro facing off against each other over president-elect Donald Trump. During the show's Hot Topics segment, the panel discussed Trump's recent interview with Meet the Press in which he talked about pardoning people who took part in the Jan 6, 2020 insurrection and mentioned that congresspeople on the committee investigating that day could face jail time. Navarro praised committee member and former congresswoman Liz Cheney for not "going into deep hiding and in silence." She then called on viewers to support Cheney and others and stated:
