She wishes she could change those events but cannot.

Finn says there is nothing they can’t overcome. Steffy says he is a loving and devoted husband and hopes he can understand what she has to say. She says she made a significant decision and FINALLY reveals her latest lie. Steffy says she decided to be Daphne and Carter’s surrogate.

Finn is stunned but is glad he came home in time to talk her out of this decision. He says he is a doctor and knows how much goes into surrogacy both with the preparation and implantation (Apparently, it only takes a night of drunken sex). She says she is devastated being disconnected from her sister (I am so confused by this narrative). Brooke continues her false narrative saying she’s let go of so much because she’s all about family. Just then, Ridge gets a text and leaves Brooke to contemplate the state of her family.

Traval was recovering from a major injury (a broken back, to be exact, due to a car accident) this past June. While recuperating, he was asked to submit a self-tape for a role on GH. He received a callback and then had a chemistry test with Thiebaud. Of his scene partner, Traval shared:

I can’t speak more highly of her. I think she’s fantastic. It’s the biggest delight in my life to be working with her. Originally, it was going to be a short guest role, I believe, and at the end of the week I got a call saying they might want to offer me a contract on the show, which was a real surprise and delight. And the rest is history from there.

TV Insider reported that viewers will learn more about Jude in the coming weeks. In the meantime, Traval and his loved ones are celebrating his success. He dished:

There’s a buddy of mine, Josh, who is so thrilled. He’s like, ‘I’m setting up a whole viewing party. We’re going to get friends over. You’re in America’s all-time greatest soap, and we’re not gonna let this first episode go by without celebrating you.’ I’m pretty excited. I feel good. I feel really happy.

Thompson sat down to chat with Soap Opera Digest about having Katie and Johnny home for this event for Billy. The junior Abbotts were sent off to boarding school earlier this year. But as Billy gets married and their stepmom-to-be Sally (Courtney Hope) is about to welcome their little sibling, Johnny and Katie are by their dad’s side to celebrate their growing family.

Thompson said:

From a character standpoint, having Billy’s other kids around, having them involved in the wedding, showing the complexities of Billy’s relationship with Victoria [Amelia Heinle] and their love for Billy, it just layers the story.

He went on:

Billy and Victoria talk about our kids a lot, but we don’t get to see them very often, so the fact that they were there really meant a lot to me. It’s always great when they get to come back and play around, and I love it when they’re here.

Lani says she will happily take her job back and Shawn is thrilled to partner up with her again. They all shake hands and Lani exits. Further, he relays how sad she is as all is daughter wants is to see her mother. As much as he wants to help his daughter, Brady now thinks Kristen should never come home ever again.

Marlena is stunned to learn Kristen set up Johnny to be killed (Why?). Brady goes on to say EJ was going to banish Kristen to San Cristobal. He can’t believe he summoned the devil and wonders what he will do if Kristen actually darkens their daughter’s door. He understands Kristen would never hurt their daughter but still worries about her proximity and influence. Marlena wants to help Brady and Rachel in any way possible but must exit to see a patient.

Marlena and Xander connect in her office for his latest appointment. They get into their appointment by discussing the Kiriakis mansion and how happy he is for Victoria and Sarah to be back home. Xander rightfully says he believes they can reunite but she also needs to acknowledge he was hurt, as well.

Kristen Tries to Convince Sophia to Reconnect With Her Mother on Days of Our Lives

A semi-disguised Kristen walks into Horton Square and approaches Sophia. They connect and head off to exchange currency. The less than disguised duo then arrive at the random sketchy motel in town where Sophia learns her former partner in crime hasn’t been able to get her hands on the cash she owes. They both agree they want to get out of town quickly as Salem only brings them heartache. Kristen gets into the Rachel of it all and Sophia softens remembering just how strong her former hospital mate is.

Kristen mentions Mama Choi and how much she thinks she must miss her daughter. She wonders if Sophia will reconnect, but she thinks her mother is probably glad to be rid of her. Sophia says she can’t let anyone know she is alive or chance going to prison. Kristen understands their fates are linked but was simply relating to Mama Choi, mother to mother. As Kristen continues to talk, the tears flow down Sophia’s cheeks.

Johnny arrives at the Salem PD and engages with Jada and Shawn. They ask him about the altered tests which appear to be related to Sarah. Johnny says it was George, but they wonder if it was on EJ’s orders. Johnny pushes back and says George hired a fixer who didn’t fix the situation very well.

Brady arrives back at Rachel’s room as a better disguised Kristen sits at Rachel’s side. He approaches the bed and obviously recognizes her as she pulls down her mask. They immediately get into everything and he says he knows exactly how she tried to off her own nephew and wants her out before their daughter wakes up. She refuses and they find themselves at a stand off.

She goes on to say how Katie took advantage of Eric’s vulnerabilities to lure him to Logan (Girl…) and would never have Hope had she not stolen her… and then goes on about Zende. Katie is DONE when Brooke says how excruciating it was for her when her sister asked her daughter’s family to move into the Spencer estate.

Katie hates Brooke is estranged from her daughter but says she did it to herself. Brooke can take no responsibility for anything and says the fault lies with her sister. Katie says she simply started a company and can’t believe Forrester is unable to deal with the competition from a tiny startup. Further, it was Eric who started this defection train WHEN HE CAME TO HER BECAUSE HE FELT PUSHED ASIDE (Anyone questioning Katie’s words should head back a few months when Ridge planned his father’s SURPRISE retirement party!). Further, Hope and Zende also felt pushed aside and came to her. Brooke can’t hear anything and believes nothing is about business and everything is about Katie’s hatred for her.

Brooke brings up their mother and Stormy and how they would feel about their separation. Katie goes OFF saying she is sick of her sister using their dead mother and brother to shame her. She knows with her whole heart how Stormy would be proud of the woman she’s become and disgusted by Brooke and Donna’s behavior. Katie says she is in the GAME and winning! C’mon now ABC do a crossover with BOTH shows!

Thompson said about the affair:

It's so much bigger than Sally and Billy. It's a soap wedding and these go on for generations and decades. People continue to watch.

Peter Bergman (Jack) explained how happy he was to have all his onscreen family together and how it is a infrequent occurrence:

Anytime we have all the Abbotts together, I'm a happy man. It's a great thing it really is. It's just lovely, and it's rare that we have all the Abbotts in one room so I'm particularly happy.

See what Hope and others have to say below!

Billy/Sally: As the couple’s (Jason Thompson and Courtney Hope) family and friends gather for the wedding, a surprise guest appears at the celebration. Cane (Billy Flynn) fills Billy in on some troubling news. Watch as Billy and Sally face their first challenge as a married couple. Later, the Abbott screw-up makes a promise to Sally.

Nick/Sharon: The Newman playboy (Joshua Morrow) pushes the coffeehouse maven (Sharon Case) to make a hard choice.

Lily: Ms. Winters (Christel Khalil) gets news about her health.

Nikki: The socialite/CEO (Melody Thomas Scott) has a change of heart surrounding a rival.

Abby: The Newman/Abbott hybrid (Melissa Ordway) gets a history lesson from Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Traci (Beth Maitland).

Victor: The Black Knight (Eric Braeden) grills Nick. Look for Victor to give Adam advice.

Kyle/Victoria: The two (Michael Mealor and Amelia Heinle) come up with a risky plan.

Lauren: The Fenmore heiress (Tracey Bregman) changes up plans to help a family member.

The ladies’ names first showed up in the closing credits of a BTG episode, which made yours truly do a double take, because who are they going to mix things up with? Right now, the show and the two are keeping it hush-hush about who they’ll cross paths with and how long they will be around.

Look for the two’s first appearances on Thursday!

Abe and Theo are at the Brady Pub discussing Lexie’s memorial. Theo looks at the guest list and giggles a bit at how bad his dad’s handwriting is. Abe plays it off saying he didn’t have his glasses when he wrote it up (Something is clearly off with Abraham. I wonder which health issue is afflicting him). They both hope the celebration would make Lexie proud. Theo worries about the drama the DiMeras will bring but his daddy is counting on him to keep the peace.

Julie and Maggie Discuss The Trials and Tribulations of Post-Widow Dating

Julie says she thought she would need her help to move but Maggie calls her on it. Julie admits she wanted to cancel her date and Maggie wants to know why. Julie admits she wanted to cancel. She likes Foster as a friend but isn’t certain about anything else. Maggie wonders what Julie wants, and she admits she has no clue. She breaks a bit and says she still feels married to Doug. Maggie understands as Julie goes on to say the idea of starting a romance with any other sends her reeling. She admits she may never be ready for such a thing again.

Maggie fully understands Julie’s feelings and thinks she shouldn’t push herself to a place she doesn’t want to go. Julie gets it but feels badly for Foster, who is so nice. Maggie pushes and Julie realizes she must tell him the truth.

Holly and Tate Deal Differently With Flirtation on Days of Our Lives

Tater Tot and Holly connect in Horton Square. He apologizes for having to cancel their plans as he has an upcoming session with Joy Wesley. He explains Joy’s situation and says he hopes to improve her upper body strength as she is attempting to recover her movement.

Holly shifts to discussing Mason and Tate is surprised to learn she is actually considering joining the mental health hotline. Tate actually encourages the idea before the two part ways.

Holly arrives at the Brady Pub and chats with Abe and Theo before Mason arrives to connect with her. They take a seat and Mason is impressed with how prepared Holly is to take on her new role at the hotline. He is impressed with her preparation, and they get all kinds of flirty. Later, Holly gets a notification about tickets for an art installation. Holly is stunned when Mason knows who the artist is and they bond over their common knowledge.

Mason asks about the room for rent above the pub and Holly offers to put in a good word. They get flirtier as he also expresses his thankfulness for her help.

Alex Wants to Ship Joy and Kelsey Off to The New and Improved Kiriakis Mansion!

Joy is in her bedroom and on her feet at Alex’ place when she realizes she is almost out of muscle relaxers and needs them for her upcoming session with Tate. She calls her dad and says she needs a refill because she’s clumsy and dropped her meds down the sink. Apparently, Craig is a big softie and adheres to her request.

Alex is on the phone with his dad when Stephanie comes a-knockin. He invites her in because Joy is in her bedroom with Kelsey. He apologizes for the way Joy treated her the day before but says he has found a place for Joy to stay with Kelsey and she can move in this very day.

Stephanie is thrown for a loop when she learns he wants Joy to move into the Kiriakis mansion. She will be living in the lap of luxury and Kelsey will have Victoria’s nanny at her disposal. The better point is that they will have their apartment back ASAP. Stephanie is down but also realizes he hasn’t run this idea by Joy. He is all kinds of confused when she doesn’t seem hyped for this possibility.

Stephanie tells Alex she saw Joy’s legs move the other day when she came in because she heard Kelsey crying. In the other room, Joy awakens from her nap and hears Stephanie and Alex’ conversation through the baby walkie talkie. She listens in closer when Stephanie says it’s clear Joy would fake her paralysis to get closer to him. Stupid, ridiculous Alex says Joy has no feelings for him, and they only share a child. Joy moves around the corner and listens even more closely as Stephanie expresses how ridiculous he is and then a knock on the door breaks up the entire conversation. Joy retreats to her room but knocks the muscle relaxer pill bottle onto the floor.

Tate walks in as Stephanie exits. Joy is back in her wheelchair when Alex knocks, and she says she is ready to meet with Tate. She spies the pills on the floor and pushes Alex off so she can grab them.

Tate and Joy are working out in the living room and he wonders if they have enough space (Actually, has that apartment gotten much bigger?). Alex suddenly emerges and says space will soon be no issue as he has arranged for her and Kelsey to move into the Kiriakis mansion. She immediately pushes back but when Tate adds some information, she says how much she appreciates the gesture. With that, Alex exits and Tate and Joy get to working out. She tries to lift the weights Tate gives her when the muscle relaxers hit Joy and she drops everything. Afterwards, she wakes up and gets all kinds of inappropriately flirty with young Tater Tot… right in front of Alex. After a while, Tate halts the situation and quickly makes his exit.

Later, Joy lies saying she had no clue Alex was watching and asks what Tate’s dating situation is.

Previous Days of Our Lives (DAYS) recap: Cat and EJ Make Up and Make Out!

Paulina and Stephanie meet up in Horton Square. Stephanie is thrilled to learn the governor has finally decided to pardon her daughter, allowing the possibility for Lani’s return to the Salem PD. Stephanie hates to be a buzzkill but says there will be all kinds of folks who are not happy with Lani being back on the force. Paulina says her mama’s voice will be louder than all and they will deal with it.

Paulina walks into the Brady Pub and connects with Theo and Abe. They celebrate Lani’s pardon and discuss Lexie’s upcoming memorial service.

Tate arrives back at the pub and joins Holly as Mason heads off to ask about the room for rent. They chat a bit about their days before heading off for a fun date at the movies. As they leave, Mason watches from a distance…

Alex and Stephanie are holding hands in the square. He gives her an update about everything and is excited they will be sleeping together that very night (Really?).

Joy shuts herself off in her bedroom and furiously tells Kelsey how her daddy pawned them off to the Kiriakis mansion… and blames it all on Stephanie. Joy says they have to come up with a plan b but also notes Alex is shipping them off to the family mansion… she thinks a bit more about the situation and believes convincing him to move to the mansion might be a much better plan b.

Martin’s Press Conference Goes Left!

Shonda announces Martin at Orphey Gene’s and the crowd applauds as he takes the podium. As Martin begins to make his speech, Ashley and Shanice are watching at Garland. Just then, Ted walks up and is stunned to learn Smitty was arrested.

At Dupree central, Anita, Nicole and Smitty watch Martin get into his speech. Smitty is looking worried as his beloved speaks. Anita and Nicole note what a good job Martin is doing and how it will smooth Smitty’s troubled waters.

Heather is at Uptown rolling her eyes at Martin’s speech after which she sends a text reading “now.”

At Orphey Gene’s, a reporter gets Heather’s text and interrupts Martin’s flow. He scolds the congressman for glossing over his husband’s arrest for drug-induced homicide. Heather continues to feed the reporter questions as Martin tries to bob and weave. Shonda jumps in, takes over and ends the press conference with a smile. Vernon walks over and reminds his grandson to keep up appearances as folks are waiting for a moment to catch him vulnerable.

Dani and Naomi quickly debrief and decide to head back to the Grands’ place to strategize for Smitty’s case.

Smitty states the obvious saying the press conference was a disaster. Anita says not to worry as the family is going to gather and strategize. Smitty worries his ambition will be the thing which kills Martin’s dreams.

Ted is at Garland wondering why he wasn’t let in on the Smitty of it all when he notices a ton of missed phone calls from his son. He calls and they discuss the press conference. Ted asks his son not to hide big things from him, even if it means disrupting his plans. They talk a bit more about the chaotic state of events when Vernon calls his grandson over and they end the call. He encourages Martin to head to the house to see Smitty while he stays behind to touch base with Shonda.

Vernon walks up on Shonda who is reading the rogue reporter for filth! She removes his exclusive access to the campaign and sends him packing. Afterwards, Vernon tells her about the strategy session, but she wants to stay behind to do damage control. Even later, the rogue reporter gets a text from Heather with promise of a 10k bonus for his efforts.

Vernon calls Joey and lets him know about Hayley arriving at Martin’s press conference. They discuss the possibility of her trying to air their dirty laundry and Joey agrees to talk to her.

Joey Updates Vanessa on Hayley Poisoning Bill on Beyond The Gates

Vanessa and Joey are at the gambling lounge. She is about to head out to show Heather condos which is less than thrilling to her beloved. He wants her to engage his sister’s interests but not show her anything serious so she will get bored and give up. Vanessa is doing nothing of the sort and truly believes Heather is serious about getting back in Joey’s good graces. Joey pushes back and Vanessa demands to know exactly what’s going on.

Joey satisfies Vanessa by telling her about Hayley trying to kill Bill and all the chaos that ensued. Vanessa is outraged to learn Randy was involved and promises to speak to him soon. Joey tries to distract her again, but Vanessa sees through him and heads out to meet Heather.

Heather Stops Vanessa and Hayley From Throwing Down!

Hayley arrives at Uptown, grabs a drink and texts Randy to stop icing her out as she needs him. Heather walks up and engages. Hayley is surprised when Heather knows her name. Heather orders her another drink and says she knows all about her new friend.

Heather says she’s heard a bit about her because of the Fairmont Crest crowd but wanted to make her own choices based on her own observations. Hayley knows those old biddies love to flap their gums about the latest gossip, especially when it involves a woman possibly poisoning her rich husband. They get into the Dani and Andre of it all when Vanessa walks up, saying the clientele has gone downhill under new management.

Heather pushes back when Vanessa calls Hayley a skank who she hates is actually being served in the establishment. Hayley plays with Vanessa saying rich men just seem to trip over themselves to lavish her with gifts… just then, Vanessa goes to attack Hayley and Heather stops her saying her brother would never forgive her if she let her get into a bar fight. Hayley is stunned to learn her new friend is Joey’s sister and with that Heather sweeps Vanessa out.

Joey walks into Uptown and stops Hayley from leaving. He pulls her into a booth and tells her a story of how he once punished someone who betrayed him. Afterwards, he mentions her crashing Martin’s presser. Hayley explains she only went to Orphey Gene’s for biscuits and will be bouncing from the DMV ASAP. Joey is glad to hear it before reminding her just how deadly he can be.

The Duprees Strategize About Smitty’s Case on Beyond The Gates

The Duprees begin to gather as Anita pours Smitty a little dark liquor. Martin arrives and embraces Smitty before they all get started. Smitty says they need to put their heads together to save Martin’s political career. Martin stops him saying they are gathered to help his beloved.

Naomi reviews the evidence against Smitty, after which he says he is being set up. Martin mentions The Impaler and Anita asks why someone would go to so much trouble to frame him. Naomi callously asks why The Impaler didn’t just off him but Dani notes it would shine too much light on Smitty’s articles and too much attention on them. Just then, Smitty gets a call from his editor who tells him the award for which he was nominated was just rescinded.

Naomi says she is getting an analyst to go over the video to determine if it was doctored or even if AI was in play. They discuss Max and Vernon agrees to call his person at the FBI. Afterwards, Naomi brings up the pills found at the brownstone which seem to link Smitty to Lia’s death. They discuss if anyone unusual has been in the brownstone, but they all say no (Did anyone else notice Smitty and Martin suddenly mentioned a housekeeper a few days back?).

Anita and Nicole wonder if the police ever thought Lia’s death looked like foul play prior to Smitty’s arrest. Naomi says no and thinks it a good idea to have a second autopsy done by an independent investigator. She wonders if she has forgotten anything and the family says she seems to be putting together a solid plan of attack. Afterwards, Smitty stands up in front of the room and thanks the entire family for supporting him. He knows he will get through difficult days ahead because of them and expresses how much he loves them.

Heather and Vanessa arrive at Orphey Gene’s and discuss the condos they viewed. Heather is going on and on about how wonderful one was as Vanessa tries to interrupt. Heather authorizes Vanessa to double her offer if necessary and goes on and on about the location (Who lives in the Obsidian?).

Previous Beyond The Gates (BTG) recap: Smitty’s Leaked Video Threatens to Tank Martin’s Campaign!

Later…

Joey arrives back at the gambling lounge to find Vanessa waiting. She tells him that his sister has put in an offer on a condo a few blocks from him (Ahhhh!) but he doesn’t care. Joey is sick of think of everyone else and wants them to get down to the sexy business of considering themselves.

Hayley is headed to her room at The Bowman when a hand stops the elevator. Heather enters and wonders if it’s fate or another motivating factor which has placed them in each other’s orbit twice in one day.

Chief Baines Reprimands Josslyn!

Chief Baines summons Josslyn to yell at her for disobeying a direct order, as he told her to stay away from Sonny, but she bought the piers to thwart him. Joss says purchasing the piers was for the sake of JJE, which he told her to do. She says if he punishes her, who will run JJE for him. Joss says taking the piers from Sonny is a sound business decision so Baines accepts it but warns her that he can terminate her at any time.

Baines brings up Brennan and the allegations in The Invader and questions if Josslyn knows anything. Joss questions whether there is truth to the article, and wonders if the WSB has a paralytic that works that way. Baines says the WSB is going to put out a statement denying that a drug exists. He says they need to look into it further, especially Willow’s part in it.

Willow Threatens to Ruin Lulu on General Hospital

Willow finds Lulu waiting for her and accuses her of fabricating a story and and any more conversation needs to go through her lawyer. Lulu thinks the libel suit is nonsense, but Willow says she’ needs to prove Lulu printed lies. Lulu says she quoted Sidwell but Willow counters he would have been out of it because of the pain medications. Lulu says Sidwell was lucid and his story tracts.

Lulu questions whether Willow really wants to go through another trial so soon after the attempted murder one. She wants Willow to drop the libel suit which Willow will only do if Lulu prints a retraction. Lulu says as a congresswoman, Willow is held to a higher standard and if she takes it to trial there will be a lot of questions asked about her and Sidwell. Willow says Lulu has ruined her reputation and she’ll do the same.

Lulu says she’ll offer a correction, saying Sidwell was heavily medicated during the interview, but Willow wants a full retraction. Lulu refuses to compromise her integrity and says her story is the truth and stands by it. Joe drops by to talk to Willow about Jack’s disappearance. Willow wants to know who ordered him to question her and considers it harassment and says she won’t talk without her lawyer.

Joe asks Lulu if there is a way to connect Willow to Brennan’s collapse. Lulu says everything she knows is in the article and swears Sidwell was lucid when they spoke. She says Sidwell was very clear that Willow was keeping Drew in a locked in state with drugs from the WSB. Lulu says she has the recording to back up her story (she has said that now, multiple times, which makes me think the recording will disappear just like the traffic cam did).

Lulu says both Drew and Brennan’s symptoms happened at Willow’s house. Joe says Brennan claimed his condition had to do with the WSB. Lulu points out if everyone believes Nina had something to do with Brennan’s disappearance then Willow is in it up to her neck. Joe decides they should look into Brennan’s whereabouts before he disappeared.

Curtis Heads Back to Pentonville

Monet checks in on Curtis, who’s waiting to hear about his appeal, but she says she hasn’t filed it. She says she’s going to turn him into a hero, for saving Sidwell’s life to help with the appeal. Monet suggests Jordan or Michael run the story, but Curtis says they’re both in Germany dealing with Jordan’s scars. She wonders who else they can talk to and Curtis suggests Drew. Willow interrupts to tell Curtis the governor is not taking her calls on his behalf. Curtis understands this means he’s not getting the transfer to Springeridge.

Monet says the governor is probably aware of The Invader article and doesn’t want to do Willow any favors right now. Willow says she’s suing Lulu for libel, but Monet says it doesn’t matter and doesn’t want Willow associated with Curtis’ case anymore. Monet’s not upset Curtis is going back to Pentonville since it would make him even more sympathetic.

Sonny Targets JJE and Hudson on General Hospital

Ric updates Sonny he’s trying to find out information on Hudson so they can figure out how to stop Josslyn. Ric questions whether they’re just trying to protect Sonny’s interests or if they want to bring down Joss as well. Sonny says he can’t risk hurting Carly by going after Joss. He says Joss is untouchable, but the company is fair game and that they need to neutralize Hudson. Ric asks how far Sonny wants to go.

Sonny says he’s not going to take him out but wants to know how he operates. Ric suggests blackmail or throwing money at him, but Sonny suggests the threat of harm is a motivator.

Mac Warns Josslyn Not to Sacrifice Herself to Take Down Sonny!

Chase and Hudson happen to be working out at the gym. Hudson reminds Chase they’ve met at the mansion and commiserates with the separation. Chase says the moment they got Phoebe they knew she was theirs. Chase says they planned on raising Phoebe together, but Hudson says she’s too young and won’t remember this time.

Mac comes looking for Chase and says he was disappointed he didn’t sign up for the next detective’s exam. Chase says he has too much going on right now, but Mac says he wants Chase to get his shield back. Chase says he’s focusing on his family and Phoebe is his number one priority.

Ric heads to the gym to tell Hudson he’s not welcome to work out there and Sonny has revoked his membership. Josslyn arrives in time to throw her weight around, which Mac and Chase overhear. Joss says Sonny lost but Ric says she’s trying to get back at her stepfather and calls her a hypocrite.

Mac approaches Josslyn about her conversation with Ric. Joss admits Sonny brings out the worst in her. Mac relates, saying he spent a lot of time chasing Sonny and tells her to let it go. He says it’s not worth sacrificing herself at the altar of Sonny. Josslyn says she’s not backing down, as she has the power to bankrupt Sonny and she’s going to do it. Mac wonders at what cost.

Ric breaks into Hudson’s gym locker and finds his briefcase, which he opens and places a bug.

Billy and Sally’s Rehearsal Dinner Commences on The Young and the Restless!

It’s Billy and Sally’s rehearsal dinner at the Abbott mansion. Family and friends are gathered in the living room when Sally feels a kick. She grabs Diane’s hand for a little feel (did anyone else catch Ashley’s facial expression aimed at Diane and Sally?). Traci asks about names, but Billy respectfully declines to mention any. The family gives Billy a bit of the business before Sally gets serious about the roadblocks they faced when they first got together. She is grateful to everyone for being so warm and welcoming to her. Ashley thinks she shouldn’t be grateful as family should be expected to treat each other in this way.

Victor Spies on Victoria!

Victoria is on a business call (in her underwear!) at her hotel and apologizes to Newman’s partners for their delay in connecting. Afterwards, she gets a call from her father who was on the call without her knowing (of course he was). Victor thinks she handled things well despite being late (For the love…). He says he didn’t recognize her background and asks where she is.

She notes how it looks like he is moving out and he says he is headed home. Gwen is confused and Philip says the rumors of Titan’s death were much exaggerated. Gabi Fights With Then Defends Leo

Gabi ends her call with Philip and then tries to enter the Hernandez house and is surprised when she is blocked by boxes… even more so when she finds Leo on the other side. He explains they are filled with the counterfeit purses and admits he still has a key and had to vacate them from his tiny Salem Inn room. Gabi is NOT happy.

Gabi notes how they still don’t have a way to cut down EJ for causing this counterfeit problem and she is less happy to hear him says there is no plan forward. Leo admits his initial plan wasn’t well thought out as he hit a dead end. She is so done with him when Leo says he has enlisted Philip, who is convinced money is being laundered through casinos, etc. Gabi says they will absolutely not be using Philip’s gambling connections.

Leo admits he’s heard stories of Philip’s gambling addiction. Gabi doesn’t want Philip to be endangered by their investigation, even if it means she gets no answers. Leo is impressed she is putting Philip’s needs in front of her own. Just then, Javi arrives on the scene and goes in on his ex before Gabi steps in and defends him.

They talk a bit about the possibility of her rejoining the force, but she says the governor turned down her mother’s attempt at getting her a pardon.

Lani admits she got her hopes up and Eli gets all kinds of mad as she was charged and convicted for nothing but protecting her mother. He feels guilty for suggesting she take a chance on considering the possibility of returning to the force. Lani pushes back saying nothing is his fault but does worry about how she will eventually tell Jules and Carver about her prison stint.

EJ admits he felt blindsided when she quit but she wonders what he expected by his lack of trust EJ admits Cat might be the only person in his life who hasn’t purposely violated his trust.

Cat asks about Johnny turning EJ into the police. He says his son turned evidence to lean into this town’s bizarre sense of morality, despite a lack of proof of his crimes. She wonders if he needs her belief as much as she needs his. They go back and forth when EJ admits he has no one left to help him figure out his father’s intentions towards Dominic Marino.

Later, Cat and EJ admit they missed each other and engage in a passionate kiss.

Belle and Chad are in Horton Square discussing his encounter with EJ and the birth certificate issue. Chad gets it as EJ is all kinds of concerned he might lose his place as Stefano’s favorite son. Chelsea Tries and Fails to Rope Her Mother Into Planning Her Father’s Birthday Celebration

Dani is at home chatting on the phone with Nicole about Smitty’s arrest. Nicole is with Samantha at Caffeine Fix doing a temperature check as she knows her granddaughter was visibly shaken by the events of the night before. Just then, Chelsea arrives and Dani begs off.

Chelsea tells Dani all about the earful she got from Kat about Smitty’s arrest. Dani feels sorry for her son-in-law as Jacob was just doing his job. Chelsea says not everyone feels similarly and hopes Naomi gets the charges dropped for all involved (Thank you, Chelsea for reminding Dani of her own arrest). She switches to the day of the year and Chelsea smiles remembering how her mother always reminds her and Naomi about their father’s birthday. Chelsea wants to ask a favor, but Dani says she will not be doing any birthday planning here forward.

Chelsea apologizes for going into child-mode and frees her mother from any Bill obligations. They embrace when Chelsea gets a notification and they both view Smitty’s video.

Samantha’s Debutante Peers Make Horrible Fun of Her on Beyond The Gates

Samantha returns to the table at Caffeine Fix and connects with her grandmother. Nicole asks how she is really feeling and Samantha thinks the whole world is out to get their family. Every time things are getting better some other shoe drops. Nicole thinks everything will work itself out as Smitty is innocent and Naomi will prove it. Afterwards, they will figure out who is framing her dad and why. Just then, Nicole notices two kids mean mugging Samantha from across the way. Samantha says they are from her debutante class and then gets a notification. She sees the video of her dad’s arrest and understands why they are staring.

The two girls approach their table and one of them asks Samantha what it’s like to have a crackhead for a mother and a murderer for a daddy (DAMN!). Nicole gets in between them and tells the girls they ought to be ashamed and to get gone. Afterwards, Nicole wants to take Samantha home, but she insists on going to school.

Chelsea Surprises Her Daddy!

Bill is at his office and is stunned when he gets a text from Naomi about Smitty’s arrest. Afterwards, he gets a note from his bank saying Hayley’s transfer is complete. He calls Hayley and she confirms she has the settlement money. She says she needs her clothes and jewelry, and Bill is ready to return them now that his folks have finished going through everything. Bill is done and hangs up but not before calling Hayley “a gold-digging murderous bitch!”

Bill sits at his desk and thinks about Dani giving him the original key to his office. Just then, Chelsea arrives on the scene, ready to celebrate his birthday. He opens her gift and is tickled to realize she has signed him up for a dating site! She has already screened applicants and is even more tickled to realize she has chosen an 80-year-old woman who won’t pose any threat! Later, Chelsea wants to take her daddy to lunch when he receives a text from Vernon about Martin’s upcoming presser. He turns to Chelsea and says he must take a rain check.

A Leaked Video Threatens to Tank Martin’s Campaign on Beyond The Gates

Anita and Vernon are at their mansion talking about Smitty’s arrest. Anita can’t believe Jacob arrested him, but Vernon says he’s just doing his job. She worries about the impact on Naomi’s marriage, but Vernon is even more concerned about what a scandal could do to Martin’s political career. Anita is certain Vernon’s brilliant political mind will solve whatever befalls their grandson. Just then, Vernon gets a notification with a video of Smitty in cuffs at the station.

Smitty is staring out the window at the brownstone when Martin comes downstairs. He wants Smitty to come upstairs to take both their minds off their troubles, but he just can’t think of anything else.

Shonda arrives with news of Smitty’s leaked video and promptly shows them. Martin is furious when he learns it was shot on the sly by a dirty cop and wants to sue the department. Shonda shuts him down saying they must focus on salvaging what’s left of his political career. She goes off about the dire situation when Martin gets a call from Vernon urging all three of them to get over to the mansion ASAP.

Naomi and Jacob are at Orphey Gene’s discussing Smitty’s arrest. They both admit they are worried about him, Martin and the kids. Jacob mentions how he is keeping things discreet when a furious June walks up and throws her phone in their faces saying she can’t believe there is video of one of her baby’s daddies being perp-walked. Naomi sets her jaw and points out to the detective that a leak clearly still exists in his office.

June goes OFF about her children and how the bad times were supposed to be over. She can’t believe Jacob arrested a sweet soul like Smitty as he knows he didn’t kill anybody. They go back and forth a bit before Naomi steps in and Jacob and June apologize to one another before she steps away. Jacob wonders if everyone will be treating him the same way when Naomi gets a text from her grandfather and quickly exits.

Leslie and Hayley Giggle Over Dupree Drama

Hayley is about to enjoy her breakfast when bestie Leslie comes a-knocking. Her presence is not welcome, but she becomes more interested when Leslie serves up the piping hot tea of Smitty’s arrest. She gets to eating Hayley’s breakfast and discussing Smitty’s situation. Hayley thinks the video must be AI as Smitty gives off all too real good guy vibes. Leslie thinks the Duprees must be fit to be tied and reminds Hayley how they look down their noses on them calling and thinking about them as everything but a child of God.

Leslie pokes at Hayley wondering if she wouldn’t actually be engaged with a little Dupree downfall. Hayley admits it wouldn’t hurt her feelings for Kat and company to be dealing with a little anguish. Leslie is thrilled they’ve once again found some sort of hateful common ground. Later, Leslie invites Hayley to dinner with her and Marcel. Hayley immediately asks if Marcel sent her there to talk to her. Leslie has no clue what she’s talking about and Hayley backs down, not wanting to implicate Marcel and expose herself. She refuses Leslie’s invitation before the two part ways.

Previous Beyond The Gates (BTG) recap: Smitty’s Family Learns of His Arrest

June arrives at Caffeine Fix to comfort Samantha. They talk about her time at school and how she had to leave because everyone was talking about her dad’s arrest. Just then, Chelsea walks in knowing they’ve both seen Smitty’s video. June and Chelsea say everything is going to be okay, but she notes good people are railroaded while bad folks get away with murder all the time.

Jacob arrives at the station where Marcel gives him the business about going against the Duprees. Just then, Leslie arrives and does the same before he exits. She sits down with Marcel and asks what is going on between him and Hayley. Marcel asks some questions before saying his interest with Hayley started and stopped with her charges. Leslie clearly doesn’t believe him but accepts his explanation for the time being.

The Duprees Strategize to Save Martin’s Campaign on Beyond The Gates

The Duprees gather at the Grands’ mansion to get Smitty’s situation under control. Naomi enters and says she talked to her mother who saw the video with Chelsea but didn’t want to get in the way of crisis mode. She asks where everyone else is and Nicole says her daddy has Martin and Shonda in the back room talking about campaign business. Anita says this mess is all ridiculous as Smitty wouldn’t hurt a fly. Just then, the campaign trio enters and Martin agrees wondering if Jacob is either insane or incompetent.

Martin and Naomi go for each other when Anita and Nicole stop them saying they know better. The duo apologizes and agrees their common ground exists on defending Smitty against these ridiculous charges. Shonda and Vernon enter the conversation saying they need to face the press with Martin defending his husband. Smitty says that can’t happen as his journalistic colleagues will rip them up one side and down the other. They all agree to head down to Orphey Gene’s so Martin can give a statement while Anita and Nicole agree to hang back with Smitty.

Smitty hopes Nicole and Anita don’t think less of him for not supporting Martin, but they think he’s being ridiculous. Nicole says he has been an amazing husband to her son, but he worries he will be the reason his and Martin’s careers are both over. Anita and Nicole assure him they will all get through this situation as a family.

Later…

Dani arrives at Orphey Gene’s to support Martin and her family at the presser. She and Naomi roll up on Vernon to discuss whether or not Martin’s campaign will survive. He says they are going to have one hell of a fight on their hands. Just then, Hayley walks in and Dani can’t believe her audacity. Vernon pulls his daughter back and asks her to let him handle Hayley. Vernon gets him her face and Hayley decides leaving is a better option than awaiting her order. Afterwards, Dani’s relief is replaced by anxiety when Bill walks in the door.

Ned Advises Brook Lynn to Keep a Place For Chase in Phoebe’s Life

Brook Lynn is disappointed Tracy wasn’t able to watch Gio sing, since she’s sick with a cold. Tracy is still upset with Chase for believing Brook Lynn was responsible for the article. Tracy says when she’s done Chase will have lost full custody, but Brook Lynn can’t take anymore. Brook Lynn says she needs a minute to accept her marriage is over and she’s lost her little family.

Ned checks in with Brook Lynn, who tells him how Chase believes she had Lulu write the story. She says Tracy wants her to sue for full custody but isn’t sure if that’s what she wants. Ned says he regretted not fighting for more time with her growing up but that she needs to protect herself and Phoebe. He thinks Chase should be a presence in the baby’s life.

Tracy asks Jason to take some of the work off Ned’s shoulders to lower his load. Jason agrees but says he’s also covering for Michael. She asks if Michael also left him in charge of Deception and Jason says he has Michael’s proxies. Tracy’s worried about Ned and his health and wants Jason to take an active role in ELQ. Jason promises he’ll shoulder some of the responsibility.

Michael Leaves Jason in Charge and Heads Off to Germany With Jordan on General Hospital

Michael cancels dinner plans with Serena and Lucy to head to Germany with Jordan. They discuss the surgery and the intensity of the treatment. Jordan talks about leaving Curtis behind right now and how she and Portia are going to eventually have it out. Michael doesn’t understand why Portia would care since she’s moved on with Isaiah. Jordan says Portia hated her friendship with Curtis. Michael mentions his marriage to Willow and how it was always doomed to fail because she was pining over Chase.

Lucy is upset Serena allowed Michael to fly off wherever and worries what happens if they need him. Serena says Michael put Jason in charge, and to contact him if there are any problems at Deception. That annoys Lucy even more, since Jason knows nothing about a cosmetic company.

Serena mentions Jason helping her and Lucy thinks she should take this opportunity to get Jason to sign over Michael’s shares so she can give them back to Lucy. Serena says Jason won’t hand over the proxies and if he does it will be to the Quartermaines. Lucy begs Serena to help her get the company back from Tracy.

Britt Cuts For Willow And Goes Off on Tristan on General Hospital

Tristan questions why Britt was visiting Sidwell. She admits she was checking if he was lucid enough to give Lulu that interview and doesn’t believe he was. Tristan agrees someone on those medications after that surgery could be incoherent.

Joe asks Lucas about Jack’s disappearance because of Lulu’s article and whether Willow was involved. Britt overhears and insists Willow is innocent and Lulu took a statement from a man on heavy pain medications.

Tristan joins them and Britt asks him to tell the others Sidwell couldn’t have said anything that made sense to Lulu. Tristan disagrees saying everyone handles pain medications differently so there’s no way to know if Sidwell knew what he was saying.

Britt points out Lulu didn’t have permission to be in Sidwell’s room and Joe wonders if she went too far. Later, Britt complains to Tristan he didn’t have her back, but he says the WSB does have a paralytic drug, and he could have told Joe.

Brooke Is Enraged by Katie’s Continued Betrayal

Eric is going off in the Forrester main office about Zende’s exit. He says he is a Forrester and is too smart to have fallen for Katie’s manipulations (Didn’t we see Eric understand Zende’s leave yesterday?). Just then, Brooke arrives on the scene and learns about Zende’s exit to Logan.

Brooke says there must be some mistake, but Eric assures her it all actually happened. Eric says Zende believed he was not being heard and Brooke wonders if RJ was taking up too much space. Ridge agrees it was part of the issue and Eric can’t believe he didn’t see any of this coming (but yet you saw it the day before after you stood silent as Ridge betrayed him). Brooke wonders how Zende is doing and says this latest defection proves her point that Katie is picking off Forresters one by one. Brooke is DONE and says she is going to confront her sister.

Later, Ridge tells his father he can’t believe Katie is doing all this mess to her sister.

The Logan Team Rejoices When Zende Officially Defects on The Bold and the Beautiful!

The Logan crew continues to lament Zende not accepting their offer. Katie says clearly Dylan messed up as she didn’t come through (this narrative is becoming more than tiresome). Will correctly asks what in the world his mother is talking about as all she did was ask Dylan to get Zende to talk to them… which she did. Katie coldly says clearly Dylan didn’t do enough but Will says she totally held up her end of the bargain. Just then, Miss Dylan walks in and says she was fired.

Will was worried something would happen like this based on what his mother asked Dylan to do. Katie rolls her eyes just as Zende rolls in and says he tried to defend Dylan and now, they are both unemployed.

Dylan says she didn’t want Zende to leave because she was fired. He says he hated how they were both treated. Further, he notes how his grandfather and uncle betrayed him literal minutes after they promised to do otherwise. Hope asks if this all means what she thinks it does. Zende says he is proud to be a part of Team Logan if the offer still stands. With that, Katie and Hope embrace him and say it’s clearly where he should be. After all the hugging is done, Katie asks if Brooke was around when all went down but he says no. Zende says he never envisioned himself in this place but is happy to be at Logan and they all celebrate!

Katie is beyond excited by how Zende is going to help Deke and Hope by Logan sore to new heights. Hope agrees saying she and Zende just seem to be in sync at all times. They both think Brooke will not be happy with any of this mess. Just then, Katie gets a call that Brooke is in the building. She walks in and Brooke goes after Katie for taking Zende.

Hope stands next to Katie as Brooke says every person she poaches is clearly her sister’s vendetta against her.

Previous The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap: Ridge’s Betrayal Is Zende’s Final Straw!

Will and Dylan arrive back at his beach house as they talk about how amazing Zende’s defection is. He hates how the Forresters demonized her but is thrilled Zende stood up for her. Dylan agrees but says it was only a matter of time before Electra pushed her out. Will defends her saying she did nothing wrong, only his mother’s bidding. He promises they will solve her income issue, and she says she trusts him to make sure everything is okay.

Will is so taken by Dylan saying she walks through life like she is walking on air. Dylan says she makes him feel like she is also walking on air. She says she loves him and Will hesitates before he finally says he loves her, too!

Nick and Sharon are, for some reason, with Matt at her place. Nick is beside himself, but Sharon wants him to take a close look because Matt is clearly psychologically damaged (And also water is wet) and she can get him help. Nick doesn’t care (nor do we) as he flares his nostrils and wonders if he is sticking to his story that Patty Williams took off after the crash. Matt goes OFF about some kind of nonsense when he accidentally hits himself in the head and then unhinges his jaw and inhales Sharon’s entire place in one fell swoop.

Nick thinks Matt is play acting but Sharon believes he is actually in distress. Matt wants to die but Sharon says she knows he is suffering and will make sure he gets help.

Victor Tells Adam Not to Underestimate Phyllis

Adam and Victor are at the ranch discussing their only topic of conversation, Nick. Victor says his son only needs to worry about his sobriety, but Adam says Nick cannot be convinced. He says he even went to Phyllis to find out if she has heard from Matt, but she said he is radio silent… if she’s to be believed. He did learn quite a bit about her plans for Arabesque and eclipsing every company in Genoa City. They have a good giggle about her plans, but Victor notes she almost succeeded the last time she tried something similar.

Phyllis is at Crimson Lights when she calls Matt to find out how he is after his car accident. She asks that he contact her in some way simply to let her know he is okay.

Many of Jacob’s co-stars had kind messages for the expectant actress and husband Jesse Ruben. Arielle Prepetit (Naomi) commented sweetly:

I’m gonna be an auntieeeee!! Yasss!♥️

Karla Mosley (Dani) cheered:

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ love love LOVE - there aren’t enough hearts in the world

Daphnée Duplaix (Nicole) added:

Jacob responded to Duplaix, whose children’s book is out this December, by writing:

the aunties up in hereeee! Can’t wait to read your book to her aunt Daph!

The Quartermaine went to jail over his and Carly’s (Laura Wright) insider trading. But when he emerged from the clink, Drew returned to the canvas, but the scribes noted there wasn’t a Quartermaine villain on canvas at the moment.

Van Etten said:

I think there are a number of things that played into it. From my point of view, the Quartermaine family, which is so integral to the show’s composition, thrives when there is conflict within it. And in the past, we found conflict from Edward [John Ingle], from Tracy [Jane Elliot, from A.J. [Sean Kanan] — but I think that the family had lost that element, especially as Tracy had stepped up to really become the pinnacle, the head of the family.

The number-one sign of Drew’s turn to the dark side, according to Korte? Him hooking up with his nephew Michael’s (Rory Gibson) then-wife, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), and thus playing a big role in breaking up that family. However, Drew wasn’t ever going to see his own villainy, especially as Willow put him on a pedestal, Korte explained, noting:

his take was always going to be that he was not a bad guy, that he was heroic. He really leaned into her hero worship of him.

Do you prefer good or bad Drew? Let us know in the comments!

Robinson got a behind-the-scenes tour at BTG and met Kerry, who attended the same high school. Kerry recalled that, after that:

I joined the Marine Corps; I fought in Iraq in 2004, after which I was homeless. For about a year, I lived in my friend's car.

Kerry never gave up on his acting dreams, though. He told Robinson:

Just because it doesn't happen when you think it's going to happen, doesn't mean it's not gonna happen.

Kerry is helping to inspire Robinson’s own confidence; the teen said he’d passed on auditions because he didn’t feel he was right for a specific part. Kerry auditioned for a bunch of other roles before scoring the part of Randy. The two then read a scene together, and Kerry told Robinson:

Nobody can be you like you, so be you and be comfortable being you. Don't ever try to be perfect; just be better.

Saint-Victor explained how Black characters have a heavy load to carry onscreen of being the de facto spokesperson and representative of the entire race and must live up to being a “moral compass,” instead of showing their flaws. Saint-Victor stated:

Sometimes I feel as though whenever we're on a thing, especially on a white thing, we're supposed to represent the entire people group,. So sometimes your character is made the moral compass or the steadfast one, not because we don't have morals and we can't be steadfast, but because we start to represent an entire people group when in reality we're just as fun, wonderful, beautiful, and messy as anyone else.

In Saint-Victor’s current storyline on B&B, he hopes Carter can show although he’s got ethics and principles, the married COO and lawyer (who had a drunken one-night stand with his boss and equally married pal Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) which resulted in her being knocked up) can continue showing he’s just as flawed as the next person. Saint-Victor stated:

I'm loving that Carter is getting to be just as messy as everyone else, and he's still a Black man, and he still has morals, and he still has all those other things, but he's human and beautifully human. I hope to continue to bring those moments to Carter and play with a guy who takes care of himself physically in his work, but does not take care of his mental health. And what does that do to someone who keeps pushing and pushing?

Kat, Martin, Anita and Vernon arrive back at the mansion ready to celebrate the campaign victories. Martin is a little down as Smitty wasn’t able to be there because of the looming charges. The Grands say nothing can get them down, especially since nothing has happened on that front. The group celebrates with champagne, and Martin admits he would have felt better with Smitty by his side. With that, he gives him a call…

Smitty Is Processed and The Duprees Arrive to Support Him!

Naomi, Jacob and a cuffed Smitty arrive at the police station. Naomi scolds Jacob about his treatment of Smitty and notes how much irreparable damage his arrest will do this close to Martin’s re-election bid. Jacob gets it but asks his wife to cut him some slack.

Naomi is with Smitty in the interrogation room reporting Jacob is trying to keep his arrest as contained as possible. She has added him to her google alerts and so far, there’s no noise. They discuss his impending arraignment, and the case Naomi will argue so hopefully he will go home this evening. Smitty gets stuck on “hopefully” and realizes there is a chance he is going straight to jail without even collecting two hundred dollars. She admits the worst-case scenario is him being remanded until trial. Naomi wants to alert Martin, but Smitty says no because he might still be at his campaign event.

Jacob walks in and and Naomi reminds Smitty of his right to remain silent. Jacob wants Smitty to provide him any information he can so he can approach the state’s attorney about a deal. Smitty loses his sh** saying a deal for what? He didn’t do anything and can’t believe Jacob is questioning him like he’s a criminal. He goes on to remind Jacob The Impaler has avoided law enforcement for years. Their team is professional and a little breaking and entering to plant evidence wouldn’t be beyond them… it should be expected. Naomi shuts everything down, even denying Jacob another question. With that, he says it’s time to process Smitty.

Naomi gets a call from Martin and ignores it. Afterwards, she calls her grandfather and fills him in on Smitty’s arrest. Vernon relays the information and the family heads down to the station.

The Duprees stomp into the station and Martin demands to see his husband. An officer says he is being processed and says everyone must be treated the same. Vernon spots Elon and reminds him of how the police chief has helped his family out of spots before. Further, he has to know Smitty isn’t complicit in anyone’s death. Elon says his son risked life and limb going undercover for this case and he will not be responsible for unraveling it. He says he prioritized the Duprees before but is now putting his own family first.

Smitty arrives back and Martin embraces him. Smitty thinks his husband needs to distance himself, but Martin simply wants to let him be taken care of. Kat approaches Jacob who says he is just following the evidence. Kat says his evidence is dirty and he needs to follow leads where they make sense. Jacob has no time as he has to get Smitty to arraignment. The Duprees follow and Anita says if Smitty isn’t home this very evening, the judge will be hearing from them!

Ted and Shanice’s Wedding Planning Gets Underway on Beyond The Gates

Nicole is in her Garland office with Dani ready to be done with her emotional overload. She worries about having to walk the halls looking a mess. Dani reminds her sissy she is THE Nicole Dupree and will not let anyone, much less Ted Richardson, see her sweat.

Ashley, Shanice, Ted and Andre are at Garland discussing the impending nuptials. Just then, Carlton walks up and overhears the news about the upcoming wedding. Afterwards, Shanice is talking about all the things she has to do to plan a Christmas wedding when Nicole and Dani approach. Dani cuts the tension before exiting with Andre. Afterwards, Ashley does not read the room leading Shanice to sweep her away so Ted and Nicole can talk.

Shanice runs into Kial and they discuss the impending nuptials. Kial wonders where Ted is so he can congratulate him properly. Across the way, Nicole tells Ted she wasn’t upset out of jealousy but needed to sit with the weight of so much change. They admit they are becoming their better selves and embrace, just as Kial and Shanice walk up and the couples have an awkward conversation.

Previous Beyond The Gates (BTG) recap: Jacob Arrests Smitty!

Samantha and Tyrell arrive home, and she is all over him about Jessica vs Chessy. Tyrell admits he was blindsided and doesn’t know why his sister is ten toes down behind the woman who dumped him. She admits she would rather have Jessica at family events than her sworn enemy. Tyrell is worried he and Jessica won’t vibe anymore as college is a different beast than high school. Just then, he gets competing texts from Jessica and Francesca both wanting to be with him. He says he needs a different perspective and wonders when their pop and dad will be home.

Heather is at Uptown when she receives a text about Smitty’s arrest with an accompanying video (Who is the rat?). Just then, Carlton walks in and ponies up to the bar. Heather approaches and they get into her relation to Joey which gives him great pause. She lies a bit about her brother and how she put an ocean between them, so he didn’t influence her life. The conversation calms Carlton a bit and the two order drinks and get down to the business of pleasure. A while later, Heather suggests they head to her place, and Carlton is more than down for her invitation.

Heather and Carlton get to her bedroom, and she wastes no time getting him on her bed.

Later…

Dani and Andre are back home and quickly get down to sexy time.

Kial and Nicole are in her office where she correctly assumes he wants to know how she’s handling Ted and Shanice’s news. She admits the news hit her harder than expected but wants to spend no more time talking about her ex. Just then, she gets a call from Anita about Smitty’s arrest.

The arraignment has concluded and Jacob and Naomi discuss how, no matter what, they must keep their work from following them home.

Heather freaks out Carlton when she grabs a knife and slices through his shirt buttons. He admits she’s coming in a little hot tonight, and she says there was a pesky problem at work she finally got under control…

Ridge’s Betrayal Is Zende’s Final Straw on The Bold and the Beautiful

Zende stands up for Dylan saying she is not to blame for him taking a meeting at Logan. She didn’t betray the family and shouldn’t be punished for his actions. He turns to his grandfather and reminds them of their conversation only minutes before. He was told he could call his own shots, and his words would be adhered to.

Electra pipes up and says Dylan should have been fired a long time ago (why?) and RJ says not to worry as she will no longer remain. Once again, Zende uses his grandfather’s words and asks if his opinions and decisions will be respected or not.

RJ urges Dylan to speak up and tell Zende her exit shouldn’t impact him. Zende shoots back Dylan doesn’t have to say anything because she’s not going anywhere. Ridge does not back his call, and Zende says he can’t work under these conditions. He says no one who isn’t in line for the throne will ever be respected at Forrester. Zende notes the offer from Logan and says he’s taking it. With that, he and Dylan exit.

Eric wonders what the hell just happened. Electra says Dylan made Zende feel sorry for her just like she did with Will. She is only out for herself and not to be trusted. Ridge blames Katie before Eric hits the door saying he is going after Zende.

Zende throws his things into his bag as Dylan begs him not to leave Forrester because of her. He assures her that he is leaving because he will never be respected by Ridge, who even pushed out his grandfather not long ago (Thank you for remembering!). He storms out the door with Dylan following closely behind.

Previous The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap: Ridge Fires Dylan!

The Logan crew are in HQ lamenting the loss of Zende. They believe his decision to remain with his family at Forrester is a huge mistake. He wants to know if he’s being taken seriously. Eric tells Zende not to let Dylan’s future with the company into any his. He asks, once again, if his decisions will be respected as he’s made it clear what he wants. Ridge says security is of the utmost importance, and Dylan has broken protocol by collaborating with Spencer enemies he has no choice but to let her go. Zende gets cold and says if she goes, he goes.

Hope and Deke discuss their disappointment. She worries about him shouldering all the design responsibility alone. Katie interjects and says this is not a setback but a change of plans. Katie points out all their strengths and Deke says he only wants to make the best decisions for the line. Katie admits she is worried about Zende and what will happen when he is inevitably let down.

Later…

Zende runs into Eric as Dylan is, once again, begging him not to go. Eric tells him to listen to Dylan (really?) as no one wants him to leave. He says Zende is a part of continuing his legacy and must stay as they need his vision. Zende disagrees as the two get quiet and emotional. Zende places his hand on his grandfather’s chest and thanks him for all he’s done for him and all he’s learned about life and business. He says he will always respect his grandfather but must leave. Eric exhales, nods his head, and says how much he loves his grandson. Zende breaks down, says he loves him too and they embrace. Afterwards, Zende leaves and Dylan trudges out behind him.

Philip and Xander Work Overtime to Sabotage The Kiriakis Estate Inspection

Philip and Xander are at the mansion all nervous about the inspector when he, Hank, arrives on the scene. He is thankful for the disclosure statement and gets to work. No matter the issue they think they caused the inspector doesn’t seem to be concerned about anything. After a while, he pushes the brothers to stand down as he completes his job. Afterwards, the inspector correctly concludes they were actively trying to sabotage the inspection.

Sarah, Kate and Maggie are chatting at the Brady Pub about the status of their sabotaging of the Kiriakis estate. Maggie says the inspector should be there now, and she hopes Philip and Xander will have good news to report.

Maggie asks Sarah about the lawsuit, and she says she has some good news as Johnny turned on EJ and told the police his father set her up. She admits now it’s just his word against his father’s, but the police are actively gathering evidence. Maggie wonders if Johnny was complicit and Sarah admits he was but also saved Holly’s life by leaving her the clue about arsenic.

Roman and Kate Reunite on Days of Our Lives

Roman approaches Kate with a rose and wishes her a happy anniversary. She wasn’t certain it counted as they are no longer together. Roman reminds her about “for better or for worse” and “until death do they part.” Kate smiles and says she has a surprise for him. He tells her to grab it and meet him out front.

Kate got Roman tickets to the first baseball game of the season, and she opens a “room for rent” sign. He says living without her has been miserable and doesn’t want to spend another night without her. Roman officially asks Kate to come home and the two embrace.

Kate and Roman are back inside when Philip and Xander arrive on the scene. Everyone asks what happened and they think back to earlier in the day. Xander asked the inspector what it would take to doctor his results. Hank wants no part of fraud but wonders why they went to all this trouble to impact his report. They tell him all about how the house ended up for sale and how close they came to saving it through Philip’s efforts. The brothers go on and on about the family history that exists within these walls and how much they are losing a part of themselves. The inspector is clearly moved and notes what he saw signs of and could possibly note in his report.

In real-time, everyone applauds Philip and Xander’s efforts. Philip says everyone should be congratulated. Maggie agrees and hopes their efforts are enough to save the estate from the clutches of Dominic Marino.

Cat and Marlena Resume Their Sessions

Cat is in a session with Marlena asking about Rachel and how she’s praying for her speedy recovery. They talk about her last hypnotherapy session and how she is still dealing with the fallout.

Cat admits telling EJ caused him not to trust her, leading to a risky move. Marlena inquires and Cat says she quit her job with EJ in an attempt to get him to believe she is no longer working for the ISA and is actually trustworthy. She notes how she hasn’t been hired back and is now jobless as her ISA gig was predicated on her proximity to EJ. Further, she thought going after EJ was her one chance to do some good in Salem after causing so much drama upon her arrival.

Marlena says many folks have tried to take EJ down and failed. Cat admits she thought EJ cared about her but was wrong. Marlena wonders if she’s upset, she lost her job or that EJ didn’t return feelings she might also have been experiencing. Cat lies saying she doesn’t have fans for EJ but is merely disappointed in the unraveling of their case against him.

Cat tells Marlena about EJ informing Chad about ISA-gate. She says he lit into her about not going to the ISA about what Chad was forcing her to do and how everything she put him and his children through could have been avoided. Both women understand Chad’s reaction and Cat thinks he has a point. She wonders why she didn’t go to the ISA, but Marlena says hindsight is always 20/20. She believes Cat when she said she was acting out of fear to save her mother’s life.

Chad Confronts EJ About His Criminal Behavior on Days of Our Lives

EJ is pouring a little dark liquor in his coffee when a furious Chad arrives on the scene. He wants to know why he’s constantly doing shady dealings to save his own ass. EJ denies any and all accusations. He admits he knew about the tainted Coriseal but George told him the drugs never left DiMera. He believes George is throwing him under the bus and Johnny has simply believed his lies. Chad isn’t buying anything EJ is selling when a bit of truth escaped his lips. EJ admits to feeling quite disappointed by his son’s betrayal.

Chad tells EJ he is responsible for fixing whatever is broken between him and Johnny as it’s what their father would have wanted. EJ says Chad doesn’t know anything about their father and maybe no one ever did. Chad demands answers and EJ says he just learned Dominic Marino may be their brother. Chad inquires and EJ tells him about Marlena and the birth certificate. He is even more surprised when he learns Marlena is supposedly the mother.

Chad is stunned as EJ pours more dark liquor. He is stunned by all these revelations and asks what Rita knows. EJ explains why he doesn’t trust what Rita says for now and how she is actually in the wind. Chad is surprised as EJ goes on about Rita’s deceit and all the betrayal swarming around him ever since the will reading.

EJ worries about Dominic being the golden child. Chad can’t believe he is worried about that issue when they just discovered their father may have done something heinous to Marlena. EJ is just making an observation when Chad asks why he isn’t wearing their father’s ring. EJ thought he lost it but now believes Rita took it because their father told her to, as a part of his grand plan. He believes all of this is for Dominic to make a grand entrance into their lives. EJ believes they must be prepared for his arrival.

EJ wants to do his research on their potential brother and Chad suggests Cat, in lieu of Rita. He says he no longer has her services as she quit after ISA-gate as he no longer trusts her. Chad concurs and says he told her as much.

Previous Days of Our Lives (DAYS) recap: Stephanie Believes Joy Is Faking Her Paralysis

Later…

The Brady Pub group discuss what will happen after the inspection. Just then, Maggie gets a text from Dominic’s broker. They all await her words when Maggie says Dominic wants out of the contract (What was the point?)! They all celebrate and Sarah and Xander stare a little too long as they clearly want to embrace in a more than friendly way.

EJ and Chad are discussing Cat when she arrives on the scene. Chad has no time and quickly exits. Afterwards, Cat says she only came to return all her official things from her time as his assistant. She makes a joke about the ISA when she turns to exit. EJ stops her and says he doesn’t want her to go…

Carly Presses Valentin to Support Anna

Valentin finds Drew and Sonny’s reactions to Josslyn getting the piers to be hilarious. Carly figures Joss bought them to take Sonny down. She is certain Sonny won’t hurt her daughter, but the other interested parties might. Carly thinks Anna might be able to help Joss and tells him that she asked Anna to mentor her. Valentin says Anna isn’t in the right head space, and Carly says she knows Anna is in therapy and she needs his help.

Carly tells him how Anna’s therapist wants someone who was around during the Faison years to help. She says Anna is resistant to draw Valentin back in, but she believes he can help Anna. Carly says she knows Valentin would feel badly if he didn’t help and he agrees to reach out but won’t force her.

The Fallout From Josslyn Possessing The Piers Begins on General Hospital

Valentin and Carly worry about Josslyn getting the piers and how everyone is going to want to control them. He thinks everyone will be more bold now with Sonny out of the picture. Carly says she can’t protect her or stop her, but he says he might.

Josslyn signs the paperwork, giving her the piers, and Sonny says she’s made her point and now she can hand the piers over to him. Hudson defends Joss and says she’s not giving Sonny the piers as she obtained them fair and square. Ric questions why she even wants them and Hudson says JJE has development plans. Ric wants them to come to terms, and Sonny says she needs to give him the piers because she doesn’t know how to keep them from those who want to misuse them.

Sonny says the piers were always involved in organized crime and it’s dangerous for her. He says if he owns them, he’ll keep everyone safe and she can’t do that. Joss says she’s going to create something productive and beautiful in that spot and they can’t stop her.

Ric apologizes to Sonny and doesn’t understand how Josslyn got the top vote. Sonny says Joss is coming after him and can’t believe she hates him. Ric says Joss is committed to running JJE and that’s not good for Sonny. He says Joss picked the wrong fight, and he won’t let her destroy him. He says Joss has put a target on her back, and he won’t go after her but wants to figure out who Hudson is. He thinks Hudson is the key to stopping Joss.

Josslyn crows about getting one over on Sonny and thanks Hudson for his help. Hudson complains about Ric’s arrogance and how he’s dealt with guys like that before. Joss wants to celebrate their win. The two share some champagne and toast to each other.

Previous General Hospital (GH) recap: Josslyn Steals The Piers Out From Under Sonny!

Quinn, Kai and Ava get to the club. Ava asks about Curtis and Trina says they’re trying to have him transferred to Springridge which is minimum security. She is still upset they almost lost him.

Trina and Emma discuss her moving in with Gio and Trina says she’s not ready to move in with Kai. Quinn, Kai and Gio discuss the move in, and Quinn spends a lot of time watching Trina.

Gio and Trina sing a song and someone gives her flowers. She reads the card and thinks it’s from Kai, but he says it isn’t.

Drew joins Ava and says he has an idea on how to deal with Lulu and says he’ll deny everything. Ava says he has Willow where he wants her, but Drew says taking her down gives the Quartermaines a win. He says it also shines a spotlight on Brennan’s part of the story.

Ava asks about the piers, and Drew says he didn’t get them but neither did Sonny. He says Josslyn got them for JJE. Ava realizes Joss is targeting Sonny and might take care of him for them.

Dante Urges Lulu to Retract Her Article!

Lulu swears Sidwell admitted to giving Willow the drug to paralyze Drew and has the audio. Dante says Sidwell is denying it’s true because he was heavily drugged. Lulu is certain Sidwell wasn’t lying to her but notes she also did research at the hospital. She says there is no way Drew and Brennan’s stroke were unrelated.

Liz shows up, calling the article provocative and accuses Lulu of interviewing her under false pretenses. Lulu says Willow is guilty of drugging Drew, and she didn’t quote Liz and Lucas out of context. She says the two of them were the ones who brought up Brennan’s own stroke in the same house. Liz says Lulu made accusations after one conversation with Sidwell. Liz wants to know how Lulu managed to get in to see Sidwell in the first place.

Dante asks if Lulu went through proper channels and Liz says she told her she couldn’t see Sidwell. Lulu says she let herself in, and Sidwell consented. She apologizes to Liz, but questions why she’s not angry with what Willow did. Lulu questions what else Willow is guilty of. Liz warns Lulu to be careful what she’s accusing Willow of doing but Lulu counters she ties both Brennan and Drew together. Dante thinks she should retract the article, but Lulu refuses.

Lulu says she’s going to do a follow up, but Liz warns her no one at the hospital is going to go on record for her. A process server shows up with papers for Lulu from Willow, suing her for libel.

Entertainment Weekly got the skinny on the dramatic, Great Gatsby-themed wedding, set to air Oct. 16 through Oct. 19, and what’s coming.

Costume designer Mandi Line said that ex-fashion designer Sally would be designing her gown herself. The vintage vibe, she went on, led to a custom dress:

made of four different layers, and 50 percent of the lace pieces you see were hand-cut and sewn into precisely chosen positions. One of the trickiest parts of the look was the custom-made pregnancy belly. She had four different bellies, too!”

As for Thompson, Line said she knew:

the colors and silhouettes of the era would fit him perfectly… The vintage 1920s pants and tie came together beautifully, and then there was the jacket, he practically walked right into it. I would love to say we custom-made that coat, but when you’re working with a supermodel like him, sometimes you just throw something on and it’s perfect!

Holly and Mason Bond

Holly walks into Horton Square and finds Mason sitting at a table and asks if he can talk. She knows he and Tate talked after she left the gym and he filled her in on the conversation. Mason admits he was too hard on her and says he is sorry.

Holly takes a seat and Mason tells her about his good friend from Afghanistan and how he decompensated after their return. He explains how he pushed blame off on her and even sought counsel from Marlena who helped him understand what he was doing.

Holly thinks back to her times with Sophia and how she loved her when they were younger and how later in life her old friend was a horror show. Mason nods as Holly understands how she wishes things turned out very differently. She wishes she could do something to make up for her actions and Mason thinks maybe there is. He says she could train to be a caller at the crisis hotline to try and make up for everything. Afterwards, Holly takes her leave but thanks Mason beforehand. dids

Stephanie Catches Joy in a Very Precarious Position on Days of Our Lives

Stephanie is about to walk into Jada’s place when she hears Kelsey crying from her apartment. Inside, Joy tries to maneuver her wheelchair as Stephanie knocks to see if everything is okay. Joy hops out of her chair to comfort her daughter as Stephanie enters. Joy hops back into her chair just in the knick of time.

Joy goes on the defensive and questions if Stephanie thinks she can’t take care of her own daughter. Just then, Alex walks back in. Stephanie says she tried to knock but she got no answer. Joy says she had only been there for an hour before Stephanie broke their custody agreement. After she leaves, Joy has nothing nice to say and Alex thinks their arrangement won’t work.

Joy admits she isn’t in a great frame of mind right now. Alex goes off saying no one is and Stephanie isn’t the enemy. Joy agrees and promises to apologize the next time she sees her. Alex appreciates her sentiment but says they need to be focused on finding her a place to stay so they can remedy this a situation immediately, if not sooner.

Later… Joy says the only reason she couldn’t get to Kelsey is because of the wheelchair. She wasn’t really mad at Stephanie but only the situation. Alex gets it but says he won’t be letting his marriage suffer because of this situation.

Previous Days of Our Lives (DAYS) recap: Kristen Stumbles Upon a Very Much Alive Sophia!

She says Johnny told a story of why Kristen was actually sent out of town by his father. They are both disturbed but understand he is telling the truth. Kristen and Sophia Head Back to Salem!

In Paducah, Kentucky Sophia, who is posing as Amelia, is stunned to see Kristen in front of her. She tries to escape but Kristen says she is coming with her. They head outside and Kristen and Sophia realize giving each other up will be mutually assured destruction.

Sophia remembers Kristen giving her the gun so she could kill Johnny. Further, she remembers what happened around the time of her “death”… right before she was unconscious. Sophia doesn’t remember everything and thinks she simply slipped and fell into the river… all she knows is Kristen didn’t do a damn thing to save her. Sophia is surprised Kirsten is there and seemingly happy she is alive.

Kristen says she isn’t a threat to Sophia and notes what a dark place she was in when she pushed her to kill Johnny. Kristen says she regrets her actions during that time and Sophia concurs. Kristen says she is happy Sophia survived and asks how she did it. Sophia explains her journey and the two connect on being ghosts in the wind.

Sophia reminds Kristen she promised her money to re-start her life and wants it now. If she doesn’t pony up, she will go to EJ and tell him all about where his sister is. Kristen says her attempt at blackmail won’t do her good in the short nor long term. Kristen says Sophia is pushing her luck and the two continue to go back and forth. Kristen thinks they should put the past behind them and promises Sophia will get her money.

Later…

Kristen receives a text and says she is headed back to Salem. Sophia doesn’t get it, but Kristen says Sophia needs to follow her back to Salem if she wants her money…

Stephanie tells her mother she thought she saw Joy move her legs. She wonders if it’s possible Joy is faking. Kayla says, with all she knows, she still thinks her condition is legit.

Brady gets a notification that Kristen read the text he sent.

Kristen gets the message from Brady and tells Sophia she is leaving with or without her. Sophia hesitates before running after her.

Hayley arrives at Bill’s office when they throw a few jabs. She says Caroline texted her to come over and Bill pulls out divorce papers. She hands over the recordings, cloud info and passwords. She takes a seat to read the papers to make sure she is getting what he promised. Hayley is stunned he kept his word. He says the money and property will only be released when he can confirm she’s given up all the information.

Hayley complains about the amount of time she will have to wait for their divorce to finalize. She wishes she had found a quicker way to kill him. Bill mentions Marcel and she simply can’t believe he would have allowed the detective to off her. Hayley knows he simply can’t wait to actually get what he wants. He says he wanted a wife, but she says he wanted Dani!

Later, Hayley says Bill should consider a plan B because Andre is young and never cheated on anyone. He pushes her to sign the papers. She does so and heads out.

Izaiah and Jacob are at the police station throwing shade about their relationships with their parents. They get to talking about The Impaler when Elon walks up and says he has some critical new information. Izaiah catches the hint and exits but not before cashing in his bet with his pops and they agree to go to all the remaining Banneker home games. Afterwards, Elon hands Jacob something he calls excessive. Elon tells him to do his job.

Naomi arrives at the Brownstone to chat with Smitty about the possible case against him. He vows to keep his distance from Martin’s events until his name is cleared. She promises to get a copy of the video and have someone analyze it to prove it’s been faked. Naomi says she trusts her husband to do his job and eliminate him as a suspect. Just then, Jacob and several police officers arrive with a search warrant.

Naomi reviews the warrant and says everything is in order. She asks for what they are searching and Jacob reminds his wife he doesn’t have to answer that question. He tells the officers to start upstairs and Smitty asks him to stay out of the kids’ rooms, but they can search the whole house. After they go upstairs, Naomi whispers wondering if they will find anything incriminating. Smitty continues to be perplexed as he has done nothing wrong.

Jacob and the cops come back downstairs after finding nothing upstairs. They begin to search the downstairs as Naomi and Smitty watch. Suddenly, Jacob finds a baggie with a bottle of pills in it (For the love… as if Smitty wouldn’t have moved it whilst they were upstairs). Somehow, Jacob can eyeball the pills and know they are the same pills which killed Lia.

Tyrell, Samantha and Kat are at Orphey Gene’s preparing for Martin’s campaign event. Just then, Francesca arrives much to Samantha’s chagrin. She is certain Francesca is manipulating Tyrell and is only trying to get back at her for winning Platinum Deb. Just then, Jessica arrives on the scene and questions Tyrell’s taste in women.

Jessica says UCLA is horrible and superficial, and she was wrong to break up with him. Francesca jumps in saying it’s too bad he isn’t available. Kat interrupts with Samantha by her side saying this drama needs to be put aside. Francesca is more than annoyed and storms out.

Jessica, for some reason, seems angry at Tyrell for moving on with his life. As they are getting into it, Martin steals his son away, leaving Samantha to deal with Jessica.

Martin is meeting with constituents when one of them brings up his cancelled press conference from the year before. Martin lies saying he was going to announce a bill to continue the civil rights legacy of his grandfather. He cancelled because he had not come through with all the details.

Eric Convinces Zende to Remain at Forrester Creations

Eric and Zende are speaking alone in the Forrester main office. He says Zende is a “real Forrester” and begs him not to let Katie steal another member of the family away. Zende begins to break down as Eric says he loves being his grandfather and says he simply can’t leave.

Eric tells Zende he wants him, Thomas, RJ and Steffy to be around to run the place when he and Ridge step down. He says he will do anything he can so his grandson will stay. Eric promises to talk to Ridge and RJ and make sure he is the lead designer of the new Electra line. Zende takes a minute and then agrees to stay. Eric pulls his grandson into a big hug as Zende leans on his grandfather’s shoulder.

Hope, Katie and Will are at Logan HQ. Katie says Deke is coming and Hope wishes they had good news about Zende. She knows Deke can’t continue to work at this current pace. Will pipes up saying he has compiled the latest figures showing Logan is on the rise. Katie and Hope know they must put out another successful collection. Just then, Deke walks in saying he is doing his best to make the new collection work but could certainly use the help of one, Zende Forrester.

Will wants to make sure Deke is good with him coming to Logan and he says more than good as he encouraged him. Hope concurs saying they don’t know what he will do but is glad they all had a chance to talk and apologize. Katie knows if Zende thinks business and not family he will make the transition. Will smiles big and says, if that happens, they will have Dylan to thank.

Zende calls Katie and tells the Logan group he has decided to stay at Forrester and notes Eric’s insistence he is an integral part of the company’s future. Hope and Katie push back but Zende says he believes his grandfather.

Later, Deke, Hope and Will lament the loss of Zende. Deke promises he will do his best to continue to deliver and Hope backs him. Katie isn’t fully buying Eric and Ridge’s renewed interest in Zende, especially with golden child RJ front and center.

Ridge Defies Zende’s Wishes and Fires Dylan on The Bold and the Beautiful

Ridge enters the main office, and Eric informs him Zende is staying. He reviews their discussion and says he told Zende his opinions will matter and his decisions will be adhere to by both him and Ridge.

RJ and Ridge are in a side office talking about the possibility of Zende defecting to Logan. RJ is surprised to learn Electra overheard Dylan talking to Zende and came running to his daddy and granddaddy. He doesn’t understand why Dylan would… and then suddenly he realizes the connection to Will and Katie.

RJ wonders just what in the world Katie is doing. Ridge doesn’t get it and notes all the folks she poached. He recognizes Zende believes he’s been passed over repeatedly and is feeling less than within the family. Ridge also doesn’t know what his father will do if Zende leaves. He thinks Katie is a vulture all too ready to prey on Zende’s vulnerability.

Electra is going at Dylan in her office. She says her betrayal is out in the open and thinks it’s high time her ex-bestie leaves Forrester. Dylan says she did nothing beyond trying to get Zende to mend fences with Hope. Electra thinks she is a lying liar who lies and thinks she is only sorry she got caught.

Electra knows Dylan is only trying to earn Katie’s favor so she will stop interfering in her relationship with Will. Just then, RJ enters and accuses Dylan of trying to get Zende to defect to Logan. He thinks Dylan should probably go to Logan since that’s where her loyalty clearly lies. Just then, Zende walks in, listens to Electra and RJ and informs them Dylan isn’t going anywhere.

Electra pushes back at Zende who doubles down, saying Dylan will not be fired. Electra turns her nose further up in the air and says they will just see what Ridge and Eric have to say. With that, she and RJ sashay away.

Ridge just mentions Dylan role in Zende’s possible defection to his father when Electra and RJ barge in, followed by Zende and Dylan. Electra gets all insistent and says Dylan must go today! Zende tells them all to stop. Electra cuts him off saying Zende is defending a woman’s whose loyalty clearly lies with Logan. RJ backs her up and says Dylan must go. Zende defends Dylan saying she never did anything but try to get him to talk to Hope and Katie. She never did anything to push him to leave Forrester. Electra pushes back when Zende defends Dylan’s work ethic and says he wants her to stay. At his very first opportunity, Ridge makes his father a liar and fires Dylan.

Darbo told Soaps.com:

Nancy would probably tell her to calm down a little bit. But they’ve never really had a good relationship, because she’s always blamed Nancy and Craig [Kevin Spirtas] for having her just to save Chloe’s [Nadia Bjorlin] life. So there’s that hate relationship going on with her parents and no matter how hard we try, which I think is the last time I was on Days, was going, ‘Honey we love you just as much as her, but it was our only option at that point.'

Darbo (set to be honored at the upcoming Daytime Emmys) shared that she doesn’t think Joy would listen to her mom. But surely Joy could use some maternal advice right about now…

Ric tells Sonny he submitted his bid to get the piers back and it’s much higher than Drew’s. Sonny admits to Ric that Dante believes he’s behind the attack and since Gio believes his father, he’s moved out. Ric understands Sonny’s frustration but says if Sonny’s worried about the look of him reclaiming the piers, he can go to the press conference.

Sonny says he can’t stay away because it will look like an admission of guilt. He says he’s the only one who can keep the piers safe and out of the wrong person’s hands. Sonny also wants to see the look on Drew’s face when he finds out he lost.

Ezra’s getting ready at the hotel to do the announcement of the auction of the piers. He asks Carly about security in case someone outbids Sonny and he gets upset. Carly is happy when Valentin returns after dropping Charlotte off at boarding school.

Carly asks about the piers, and Valentin admits he’s there to bid on them as well. Carly originally thought the piers should go back to Sonny, but with recent events she’s changed her mind. She believes Sonny is innocent of the attack but if he gets the piers, people will believe he’s guilty.

Josslyn is getting ready to infiltrate the Metro Court security system in order to get the winning bid on the piers for JJE. Hudson is not happy with the plan worried if they get caught, they will do time for corporate espionage. Joss says it’s worth it if it means Sonny loses.

Josslyn lets herself into the security room but Carly and Valentin start making out right outside the door which freaks her out. They eventually leave so she manages to disable the security feature which opens up the auction app. She tells Hudson to submit their bid but to do it at the last second.

Who Is Watching Trina on General Hospital?

Emma wonders if Gio is ready to perform tonight considering he just moved out of Sonny’s, but he reassures her. Trina shows up with microphone issues and Gio offers to talk to the sound guys. Emma is grateful for the distraction and tells Trina about Gio moving out of Sonny’s.

Trina says Sonny is a bad person but understands and feels badly for Gio. She thinks she shouldn’t have talked him into moving out, but Emma disagrees. Emma says Gio couldn’t live there anymore and pretend Sonny is innocent. She and Gio tell her they’re moving in together. Trina and Gio start their sound check, while someone is watching from the window.

Sidwell Claims He Was Drugged Up and Has No Memory of Speaking With Lulu

Dante points out Sidewell admitted in the article he gave the drug to Willow to use on Drew. Sidwell counters he has no recollection of talking to Lulu. He says he’s heavily medicated and in pain from Sonny trying to kill him.

Dante says the article has already come out and believes Sidwell used Willow to drug Drew and get him out of the way so he could use her to do his bidding. Sidwell denies all allegations.

Sidwell says he’s on a ton of painkillers and doesn’t even remember talking to any reporter, but Dante should check his visitor’s logs. He says any reporter would have to declare themselves to get his doctor’s approval. Dante says the article is like a confession, but Sidwell says it would have been under duress. Dante says they also have Drew and Willow as witnesses. He thinks Willow would be willing to say Sidwell coerced her.

Lulu Tries and Fails to Get Drew to Implicate Willow on General Hospital

Drew accuses Lulu of asking for his hospital records under false pretenses. He says she pitched the article as being about his recovery, but she says the story turned out to be more complicated. Drew says she misused his records and accuses her of not having journalistic integrity.

Lulu says they can clear things up if he gives her an interview on what Willow did to him. She asks if he knew what Willow was doing but he turns it back on her and asks if she knew Charlotte broke into his car. He says the valet saw her do it and is a reliable source. Lulu counters Sidwell is also a reliable source, but Drew disagrees. He says he trusted her and Lulu betrayed him, but she says she just followed a lead. Drew warns her to stay away from his family or else.

Dante heads to Lulu’s and she complains about Drew’s visit. Dante tells her about his visit with Sidwell and says Sidwell he is denying everything due to his pain medication.

Josslyn Outbids Everyone and Snatches The Piers!

Ric and Sonny head to the hotel for the announcement. He reassures Sonny he’ll have the highest bid even though the auction is anonymous. Selina Wu shows up which surprises Sonny. She believes now that Sonny knows Sidwell was the one who burned down Charlie’s she is allowed back in town. Sonny says he has no issue with her, but Ric is suspicious. Selina says Brad made the bid on her behalf and it’s legitimate. She says Sonny claims to have retired so he should let the piers go to someone who can use them.

Carly, Valentin and Drew all join those awaiting the announcement. Ezra gets to the auction and tells everyone he’ll announce the winning bid once the auction has officially closed. Carly is confused when Hudson shows up and figures Josslyn will be making a bid.

Ezra logs into the auction and announces the new owner of the piers 55 and 56 is bidder 1015 and Hudson stands up and claims he’s the one, which confuses everyone else in the room. Ric wants details on who Hudson is and what company he represents and if he has the funds to go through with the sale.

Drew wants those answers as well, but Ezra says it’s not his place to give that information and neither does Hudson. Ric insists on knowing who Hudson works for as Josslyn arrives and announces he works for her.
