Days of Our Lives Recap: Colin Pushes Talia to Seduce Chanel
On today’s Days of Our Lives recap:
Salem Inn: Gwen walks in on Leo eating a $60 breakfast. She is worried about expenses and says Leo must downgrade his expensive tastes. Gwen wants them to find another place to live. Just then, Alex arrives wanting to chat. Leo gets the hint and decides to get a head start on apartment hunting.
Gwen thinks Alex wants to hit the sheets but he actually wants to talk. In fact, he wants to end their sexual arrangement. She’s curious as to his motivation. Alex explains he’s started therapy with Marlena and she thinks their sexual hijinks are a part of his unhealthy patterns. He doesn’t want to use her to avoid his feelings. Alex thinks Gwen could do with some soul searching and brings up Xander. She agrees but says she’s over Xander but Alex isn’t so sure. Gwen wonders when he became a psychiatrist. She reluctantly agrees she’s also heartbroken and using sex as a distraction. They both discuss how their respective lives are a mess, and how they need to get their life back on track.
Ben and Ciara’s Old Digs: Chloe and Xander are looking around to see if they want to rent it. Xander wants them to take it but Chloe wants to do a little more investigating. Just then, Brady arrives. They’re both looking for apartments. Just then, Xander reappears saying he thinks they should take the place.
Xander begins messing with Brady until Chloe cuts him off. Brady can’t believe Chloe is cavorting with Xander. Chloe says Xander’s been supportive as they haven’t been hanging out at all. Chloe gets visibly upset and Xander defends her. Just then, Leo arrives and grins in anticipation of his next story. He gets snarky and refers to Rachel as “the demon seed from hell.” Before Brady can throttle him, Xander intervenes and breaks his pencil.
Xander says they should take the apartment. Chloe likes it and since he’s footing the bill… Brady calls her a kept woman which sends Chloe reeling. She agrees to move in and will pay half the bill when she goes back to work.
Horton Square: Paulina tells Chanel she’s arrived to order 200 bear claws. Chanel is upset saying she can’t fill the order. She says she can’t fill any order because Sweet Bits has been shut down by the health department. Chanel thinks her business is done. Paulina reminds her the shut down is temporary until the case is solved. She will not allow her daughter to give up on her dream. Paulina goes to give Abe a call leaving Chanel time to call Talia.
Roach Motel: Talia and Colin are hanging out in various states of undress. He’s reading the story about Jada and Rafe. He shows her the story about Jada and Rafe. Talia freaks out because she’s responsible for her sister’s trouble. Colin thinks Chanel is responsible for everything. Colin loves her for helping him get justice for his family. Further, he thinks now the cops are distracted, it’s time to really take it to Chanel.
Talia gets a call from Chanel who tells her the news about Sweet Bits being shut down. She wonders if destroying Chanel’s business is enough justice. Colin reminds her how she’s seen him wake up from nightmares and she deserves all she gets. Chanel not only killed his mother but also wrecked their family. Colin wants Talia to seduce Chanel and then break her heart.
Talia thinks Colin is trying to pimp her out. Also, she’s neither gay nor bisexual. Colin insists she doesn’t want her to go all the way, but Talia is very skeptical. She doesn’t think she can go through with his plan. Colin promises when the task has been completed, he won’t be depressed and the nightmares will be done. He declares his love for her and she returns the sentiment. With that, they hit the sheets.
Salem PD: Rafe shows Jada The Spectator’s story about kissing cops. Jada says she’ll kill Lady Whistleblower. Rafe thinks Sloan leaked the story. He’s relieved he told Abe the truth before the story came out. They both agree they can’t wait to throw the book at Sloan.

Jada can’t shake the feeling Talia is involved in everything. She just can’t reconcile the glitches in her story. Rafe reminds Jada that Talia didn’t have the keys to Paulina’s office and the two crimes are very likely connected. Jada is getting a tension headache and Rafe starts to give her some massage therapy but opts for water and aspirin instead.
When Rafe returns, he tells Jada about Sweet Bits being shut down. Rafe heads to his office leaving Jada to review the evidence.
Paulina arrives looking for Abe. She and Jada chat about the plight of Sweet Bits. Before she can exit, Jada has questions about the break-in at Paulina’s office. They go over the events of the evening and Jada says she’s concerned because there was no sign of forced entry. Paulina says no one else has keys besides her. Jada wonders if anyone else had access. Paulina says Sloan had access to her purse the day of their confrontation in Horton Square. When Paulina mentions Talia was there, Jada grows very concerned.
Chanel avoids Jada and hits Rafe up for a chat. She apologizes for her Sweet Bits putting him in the hospital. Rafe says she has nothing to apologize for and offers her a seat. They discuss the case and he says she’ll be the first to know when they arrest someone. Suddenly, Chanel sees a picture of Henry and Allie. She sees how happy they are and asks Rafe how they’re doing. He almost says Allie is seeing someone which launches Chanel out of her chair and out the door.

Endings
Leo returns to find Gwen in her feelings. She explains her conversation with Alex, and Leo goes off. Gwen stops him as she’s done talking. Leo fills her in on the apartment, but says someone else got their first. He fills her in on Chloe and Xander.
Brady looks out the window when Chloe returns. He wanted to speak with her alone. Brady declares his love for her and thinks she feels the same way.
Paulina tells Jada how much she loves Talia, and thinks Chanel is lucky to have someone like her on her side.
Colin exits his room when Xander walks by.
Talia arrives at Sweet Bits to check on Chanel. She says her day keeps getting worse and Talia leans in to comfort her… with a kiss.
